Lesson 10 - Israel Chooses a King Name:

1. “Some choices are always wrong, while other choices may be right or wrong, depending on
your motive.” Give an example of each.
Choices that are always wrong: Stealing an item.

Choices that can be right or wrong depending on the motive are becoming friends with a
person. It could be right if you befriend them if you genuinely love or care about them and is
wrong if you befriend them for their money.

2. What was wrong about Israel choosing a king?

Israels request for a king was wrong because of Israel’s motives. Israel wanted to be like the
other nations.

3. Why would it be important for the King to be reading God’s word every day? Why is it
important for us to do this as well?
It was important for the king and people today to read God’s law daily because it enables us to
revere God and know what to do.
