QUIKGUN LC-SERIES

Alkali-Resistance Low Cement Gunning

• Fast and Easy Installation

• Fast Dry-Out, Less Down-Time
• Excellent Alkali Resistance
• Excellent Abrasion Resistance
Recommended Installation Area :
Lower Stage Cyclone Preheaters, Precalciner, Rotary Kiln, Kiln Hood, Hot Area of Grate Cooler
QUIKGUN LC-Series are specially developed for fast installation and fast dry-out, made from
premium quality raw materials under controlled manufacturing standard. They have better
performance than that of the conventional castable and alumina bricks. With our special design of
the aggregates and special binders, these gunning materials have very low permeability, which
prevents the penetration of alkali, and also have excellent abrasion resistance property.

Alkali-Resistance Test
Standard: DIN 51069
Sample: 110X110X60 mm. After drying at 110oC
Media: 50 grams of Anhydrous Potassium Carbonate (K2CO3)
Condition: 1100oC for 5 hours in an electric furnace
The evaluation was supplemented with the 0-10 point scale of the laboratory, which system
in principle states the depth of the alkali penetration in mm.

Definition of 0-10 pointed Scale of Cup Test:

Slight Attack:
0: About 0 mm., Absolutely unaffected.
1: About 1 mm., Ideal. Alkali rejecting.
2: About 2 mm., Ideal. Alkali rejecting.
3: About 3 mm., Slightly attacked.
QUIKGUN LC-1300 QUIKGUN LC-1550 Medium Attack:
QUIKGUN LC-1500 QUIKGUN LC-1650 4: About 4 mm., Attacked and penetrated in a few mm.
Result = 1 Result = 1 5: About 5 mm., Unaffected in practice.
6: About 6 mm., Unaffected in practice.
Heavy Attack:
7: About 7 mm., Heavily attacked, possibly cracks
8: About 8 mm., Heavily attacked, possibly cracks
9: About 9 mm., Heavily attacked, deep cracks
10: About 10 mm., Crucible destroyed and dissolved.
