hero has his or her contribution to making the national uniqueness that we are
known for today. They are the ones who warn and educate us about the past.
They have journeys to share so that we will know and we can continue what they
are trying to fight for. We need to be aware of the ideals that our country is
established upon. They are the starters, and we, Filipino children, will build the
future. That's why it is essential to know the history. It gives us the means to
explore and clarify problems in the past, and it places us to see conventions that
might otherwise be imperceptible in the present.
