Chapter 2.1: The Earth Systems Project Instructions

On a poster you will be designing your own Earth System. You can choose one of two
ways to design your project.

1. You can divide your poster into four quadrants and have each quadrant represent a
di erent Earth System.

2. You can create one cohesive picture that represents all of the Earth Systems.

No matter which option you choose, you must have THREE (3) representations of
EACH Earth System, meaning you will need to have a total of TWELVE (12)
representations of the Earth System in total.

Each poster will need to be labeled, regardless of which option you choose. The
labeling will look di erent depending on the option you choose.

1. Each quadrant must be labeled clearly with Atmosphere, Hydrosphere, Lithosphere (or
Geosphere), or Biosphere.

2. You must create a key to denote which parts of your poster belong to each of the
four Earth Systems.

**You will be graded on neatness, colorfulness, and e ort but I will NOT grade you on your
artistic ability. As long as I can see that you put forth e ort, you will be ne.
