CHAPTER 4

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS, AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents results from the data gathered and interpreted after
performing the experimental process. Discussions and through analysis of the
results are also reflected.

1. What is the socio-demographic profile of teenagers in terms of their:

The table 1 shows the age of the respondents. The ages that can be
found in the table above are ranges from 13 to 19 years old; it includes the
percentage base on the total number of the respondents. It shows that age of 18
that has a total of 32 respondents is considered as the highest number of
respondents among others with 32%. While age of 14 has the lowest number of
respondents that has only 3 respondents with 3%.

Table 1.2 shows the gender of the respondents. There are total of 100
respondents, it includes the percentage based on the population of the
respondents. It also shows that female respondents are greater than male with
the total of 74 respondents and equivalent to 74%. While the male has a
population of 26%.
2. How does Korean drama affect the behavior of the teenagers?

Table 2 indicates how Korean drama influences the respondents'
behavior. With a weighted mean of 4.1 and a verbal interpretation of "Agree," the
highest statement is "Watching Korean drama helps me to respect Korean
culture." It is possible that every time they watch Korean drama, they will learn
about and respect Korean culture, knowing that Korean culture is different from
Philippine culture.

On the other side, with the verbal interpretation of "Agree," the statement
"I find myself emit Korean words and expressions" appeared to have the lowest
mean of 3.56. It may be concluded that the respondent answered "Agree" with
the lowest mean, indicating that it is difficult to imitate their words and
expressions but learning another language is very interesting.

3. How does Korean drama affect the lifestyle of the teenagers?

Table 3 depicts the impact of Korean drama on respondents' lifestyles.


The statement "Watching Korean drama allows me to be more updated about
new fashion" received the highest score, with a weighted mean of 4 and a verbal
interpretation of "Agree." As a result, people use Korean drama as a source of
information about new fashion, particularly in this generation's fashion trends.

On the other hand, the statement “Sometimes due to watching Korean


drama, I forget to eat my meals” with the weighted mean of 3.38 and the verbal
interpretation of “Agree”. Even though this has a lowest weighted mean, but still it
has a verbal interpretation of “Agree”, this could be concluded that respondent
answered it has a possibility that most of them they forget to eat their meals.
