PRESENTMENT OF CASES FORINDICTMENT
During the April 2019 Term of the Camnden County Grand Jury, a total of
cases were presented by the District Attorney for criminal indictment, a
total of jCounts were True Billed and a total of LCounts were No
Billed
General Recommendations
We the Grand Jury make the following recommendations;
1. The Grand Jury heard from Trooper Josh Riddle of the Georgia State
Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT)
regarding
the intersection of Colerain Road. The Grand Jury
Highway 17 and
finds that there have been multiple wrecks involving serious injury
and death at this intersection. The Grand Jury recommends that the
Georgia Department of Transportation and the Camden County
Commissioners declare the intersection to be a "No Passing Zone."
The Grand Jury further recommends that the County and State
consider installing a caution light and turning lanes at this
intersection.
2. The Grand Jury voted to form a committee to look into matters
regarding Spaceport. The Committee members met and reviewed
materials requested from the County regarding Spaceport. The Grand
Jury also met with County Administrator Steve Howard and County
Attorney John M&yers, who answered questions about the project and
addressed a number of concerns. The Grand Jury finds that there is a
lack of public updates concerning the progress of the project. This
