LESSON PLAN IN MEDIA AND INFORMATION LITERACY 11

Content Standard: The learner demonstrates understanding of media and


information literacy (MIL) and MIL related concepts.

Performance Standard: The learner organizes a creative and


interactive symposium for the community focusing on being a media and
information literate individual.

MELC: Compare and contrast how one issue or news is presented through
the different types of media (print, broadcast, online) (MIL11/12IMILIIIa-2)

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
A. Describe the different media types.
B. Make a diagram that compare and contrast the types of media.
C. State the importance of different media types and how it affects to the
day to day living.

a. ACTIVITY

 There will be 3 sets activity that will be given to students


they will be grouped in 3 but they will answer individually.

GROUP 1
 Classify the terms that is given in a matrix. They will write
the terms in their corresponding columns.

The terms are: books, newspaper, television, Youtube, magazines, social


network, radio, newsletter, cellphone, journals, film/movie

media (print, broadcast, online). Print media shall be in editorial
content. Broadcast media may choose either TV or Radio and will be in
commentary format. Online media may choose livestreaming, or
webinar.
