The opposing team has continuously and erroneously stated that the use of Generative AI
is not a threat to one’s education due to its advantages as we have substantiated repeatedly that it
is a threat that can affect the education of the students as it can drive them to become lazy in
doing their own homework and resulting to poor rational thinking.

To summarize the claims of the first two speakers, it highlights the two main claims that
we are certain of why Generative artificial intelligence is considered a threat to education. The
first one is that it promotes academic dishonesty in students just like what has been mentioned
earlier where one student gets hooked on using ChatGPT, an online technology or AI that
generates information from various similar materials and from the encrypted database. It
promotes academic dishonesty to the point that students aim to use artificial intelligence during
their examinations as well as for their homework. The second is that generative AI contributes to
the deterioration of the thinking capacity level of the student as they become lenient and find
convenience in using artificial intelligence. It also affects their capacity to fact-check information
coming from the internet or those that have been generated by AI as that information can be
wrong but presented as a fact. In addition, our third claim is that the use of generative AI in
writing essays and other academic writings can lead to plagiarized acts because just like I have
mentioned earlier, information that has been provided or created through generative AI only
comes from similar uploaded materials on the internet leading to the possibility that the produced
materials were the same as the other which is punishable under RA 10175 or the Cybercrime
Prevention Act of 2012 here in the Philippines.

In conclusion, even though artificial intelligence, particularly generative AI is established

with the aim of helping people, for us, it has its downside such as the act of plagiarism, academic
dishonesty, and the deteriorating thinking capacity of the students.

I’m Alyssa Diaz, and I’m the third speaker, I will talk about the importance of the AI to
the teacher and student like us.
Generative AI is important not only by itself but also because it makes us one step closer
to the world where we can communicate.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of digital technologies to enhance education has
significantly increased as many students around the world have had to shift to online learning.
According to Encyclopaedia Britannica, Education is one of the areas where AI will
make a massive impact, what is really understand is that, AI is not a Threat in Education, AI
teacher it’s not there to replace teachers but is there to deliver a better education to student like
us to make this whole experience better for kids and for teachers. To some extent AI helps us to
rethink our whole education system and how it is delivered such as long way nowadays we have
AI that can summarize autonomously the entire books in the library. We will no longer have
difficulty going to libraries and I can say that because of AI, student learning will be made
easier. Liable resources will be valid, but fake news is not.
So again what we’re trying to do is were trying to enable teachers to spend more time on
the things that they love and outsource some of their administrative tasks to Artificial
Intelligence.
So Artificial Intelligence is a hugely relevant to school to universities to any educational
organizations and especially as education is now changing to much more lifelong learning
process it will help us to engage students across their entire life. So for me AI has a real potential
to transform teaching and make it better for both student and teachers.
AI is a profound impact on the world of Education from personalized learning to virtual
reality classroom the possibilities are endless were excited to see how AI will continue to shape
the way we learn and teach on the future. Multiple experts have agreed that the use of artificial
intelligence (AI) should not be a threat to the human and the educational system but instead
should complement in the education of the people.

In conclusion, with the use of Artificial intelligence, people become advanced, because
just by clicking on them, answers appear. It's just like when students don't understand what their
teacher is teaching, they can go to YouTube and you just type there and someone will
immediately appear to teach you. Such things we can say we are lucky because we have what is
called Artificial intelligence. Again just remember liable resource will be valid but fake news is
not.
AI is the support to enhance the mind of the people. Helps us people doing daily
activities easier. They help us, humans, be more productive and knowledgeable.
Education system must change in light of new technology. Use AI properly and do it the right
way.
Artificial Intelligence is a tool, not a threat.
