Movie #2

A. Title of the movie

“SICARIO”

B. The setting of the story

 Chandler, Arizona Plot. In Chandler, Arizona, FBI Special Agents Kate
Macer and Reggie Wayne lead a raid on a Sonora Cartel safe house
where they discover dozens of decaying corpses hidden in the walls.
Outside, an explosive booby trap kills two police officers.

C. Drug of interest shown in the movie

 “Sicario” opens with two indicators of a violent world, one a discovery and
one an explosion, both setting the stage for the satisfying thriller that
follows. This is a universe in which evidence of evil exists in plain sight,
hiding in the walls of a house in suburban America. And it is a world in
which violence can erupt in the blink of an eye, taking lives and shattering
others. At times, “Sicario” is a deeply satisfying, intense examination of a
war with no rules of engagement, driven by a spectacular performance by
Benicio Del Toro and typically mesmerizing cinematography from Roger
Deakins.

D. Summary of the movie

 After rising through the ranks of her male-dominated profession, idealistic
FBI agent Kate Macer (Emily Blunt) receives a top assignment. Recruited
by mysterious government official Matt Graver (Josh Brolin), Kate joins a
task force for the escalating war against drugs. Led by the intense and
shadowy Alejandro (Benicio del Toro), the team travels back-and-forth
across the U.S.-Mexican border, using one cartel boss (Bernardo
Saracino) to flush out a bigger one (Julio Cesar Cedillo).

E. Your analysis of the movie

 In Sicario, the line that separates good and evil is meaningless. As the
history of war has proven time and time again, though, sometimes the only
way to combat the bigger threat is to get your hands dirty. However, when
you cross that immoral line, it’s impossible to come back.
