Railway:-

Note : (i) In terms of Railway Board’s Master Circular for Sports Quota Recruitment, no
relaxation in qualifying criteria or reservation to any specific community is
provided in this recruitment process.
(ii) Candidate may apply to one or both categories of posts and one or more Name of
Sports/ Disciplines if they fulfill all eligibility criteria. However, they will have to fill
up separate application forms, pay examination fees separately and upload
relevant documents with application separately.
READ THE DETAILS GIVEN BELOW IN THIS NOTIFICATION FOR INFORMATION ON
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA, OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND TO KNOW HOW TO APPLY.
3. AGE LIMIT:
i) Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years. The date of reckoning of age shall be 01/01/2023.
ii) No age relaxation (Upper or Lower) shall be permissible.
Note : Candidates must mandatorily upload scanned copy of their Age proof Certificates (Matriculation or
10th Certificate or Admit o f Madhyamik/Secondary examination indicating date of birth) while
filling up the online application form and the original copy of age proof certificate must be produced
on the day of Trials, Documents Verification and as when directed.
4. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Note:- For appointment against sports quota in Technician-III, the minimum
educational qualification is 10th pass. However, the training period for such
Sports Quota appointees will be 03 (Three) years, unless they pass/possess ITI
qualification in the relevant Trade, in which case it will be 6 months.
Note : i) No relaxation in minimum educational qualification shall be permissible.
ii) Candidates must mandatorily upload scanned copy of relevant documents in support of their
educational qualification while filling up the online application form and the original of
educational qualification certificate must be produced on the day of Trials, Documents
Verification and as when directed.

5. MEDICAL STANDARD: It is mandatory for candidates to be declared fit in the prescribed Medical
standard by the Railway Medical Authority as applicable for the offered posts.
6. MINIMUM SPORTS NORMS :
FOR CATEGORY (1) Represented the Country in Olympics Games (Senior Category) or Secured
at least 3rd position in World Cup (Junior/Youth/Senior Category) or World Championships(Junior/
Senior Category) or Asian Games (Senior Category) or Commonwealth Games (Senior Category) or
Youth Olympics or Champions Trophy (for Hockey).
FOR CATEGORY (2) Represented the Country in World Cup (Junior/Youth/Senior Category)
or World Championships (Junior/Senior Category) or Asian Games(Senior Category) or
Commonwealth Games (Senior Category) or Youth Olympics or Champions Trophy (for Hockey) or at
least 3rd position in Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category) or Asian
Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category) or South Asian Federations (SAF) Games (Senior
Category) or USIC(World Railway) Championships (Senior Category) or World University Games or
at least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships or at least 3rd position in National
Games organized under the aegis of Indian Olympic Association or at least 3rd position in All India
Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities or 1st
position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).
NOTE-1 :- In Boxing discipline the achievement in “Youth Category” in International Championship
will be considered in place of “Junior Category”.
NOTE-2 :-
i. All the Championships mentioned above as sports norms, for recruitment, should be
conducted under the aegis of recognized International/National Sports Federation and also
recognized by the Railway Sports Promotion Board.
ii. Validity of Sports Certificates at period of the Trial will be considered as per directives of
concerned authority.

7. ELIGIBILITY NORMS - Apart from conditions indicated against Item No.6 above for
Category(1)&(2):

i) Boxing (M) : The Sports achievements in the events conducted by Boxing Federation of India led
by Ajay Singh as President will be considered. The Boxing players having their required
achievements in above mentioned weight categories in Elite (Men) Boxers would only be
eligible.
NOTE : Weight Categories indicated in Specialty (position/event).

ii) For Cricket (Men): In Cricket Men’s Section, following Achievements will also be considered for
recruitment:
1) Category –1-For Level-4 /5 (GP-2400/2800) -:
Represented India A and India U-19 Team in 02 (Two) Test Matches or in 02 (Two) Limited Overs
One Day International Matches or in 02 (Two) Twenty- 20 Overs Matches.
2) Category –2 - For Level-2/-3 (GP–1900/2000) -:
a) Quarter Finalist in Senior/U-23/U-19 All India Inter State Elite Group Championship and All India
Inter State Championship may be considered for GP-1900/2000.
OR
b) Participation in Senior/U-23/U-19 All India Senior Inter-Zonal Championship.

iii) For Cricket (Women):

(a) At International Level, representation of Main Indian Seniors Team in a Test


Match or in a Limited Over’s One day International Match or in a Twenty-20 Over’s Match;
shall also be considered for recruitment against the posts having GP Rs.1900/- or 2000/- in PB
Rs.5,200-20,200/-.

(b) At National Level, following Sports achievements in 4 days/One day Limited Over/Twenty-20
Over’s Women Cricket Championships; organized under the aegis of BCCI; will also be
considered for recruitment against the posts having GP Rs.1900/- in PB Rs.5,200-20,200/-.

iii) For Gymnastics (Men): The Sports achievement prior to 26/02/2021 in the events conducted by
Gymnastics Federation of India or its affiliated units will not be considered for recruitment. But for the
events conducted by Gymnastics Federation of India led by Sri Sudhir Mittal as President on and from
26/02/2021 will be considered. However, the certificates issued by the Association of Indian
Universities and the International Federations for recognized Sports Achievements will be permissible
iv) For Hockey(Men): Recruitment against the posts in Level-2/3 in PB-I (Rs. 5,200 – 20,200/- ) :
a) Hockey India is the recognized National Sports Federation and Certificates issued by Hockey
India will only be considered for recruitment.
b) Participation in the International Tournaments (Senior or Junior) of four or more nations,
may also be considered .
c) Semifinalist in Senior National Championship may also be considered.
For Table Tennis (Men):
Current Annual All India Ranking as mentioned below will also be considered for recruitment in GP
Rs.1900/2000 or Level-2/3 (Category-2)

Only the Current Annual All India Ranking shall be considered for this purpose. For the purpose the
highest ranking may be considered valid for one year for the purpose of recruitment. Ranking in Mixed-
Doubles shall not be considered.

v) For Volleyball (Men & Women) : Participation and medal winning performance upto
25.06.2020 in the events organized by Volleyball Federation of India led by Sri Ramavatar
Singh Jhakar as Secretary General will be considered for recruitment. But event conducted by
Volleyball Federation of India or its affiliated units after 25.06.2020 shall not be considered for
recruitment. However, the certificates issued by the Association of Indian Universities and the
International Federations for recognized Sports Achievements in the Game of Volleyball, will
be valid for recruitment.
NOTE : 1. In addition to the above for the posts in Category-1, the following shall be considered as
Higher Sports Achievements and eligible for recruitment against Sports Quota.
i) Achievements by representing Country in Olympic Games or Gold Medal in Asian Games
or 02 Medal in different events in the same Asian Games.
ii) For Cricket (Men):- Representation in main Indian Seniors Team (Men) in 02 Test
Matches/Limited Overs One Day International Matches/Twenty-20 Matches.
iii) For Cricket(Women) :- If a Cricket player represented Main Indian Seniors Team(W)
at least in Five Test Matches or in Ten Limited Overs One Day International Matches.

2. In addition to the above for the posts in Category-2, the following may be considered as
Higher Sports Achievements and eligible for recruitment against Sports Quota :-
i) The Sports Achievements as indicated for Category-1 & Note-1 above.
ii) For Table Tenis: - Upto 8th Position in Current Annual All India Ranking in Seniors Age
Category in the Singles Event. Only current Annual All India Ranking shall be
considered for recruitment.
Sportspersons having the Sports norms for Higher Grade pay are eligible to apply against the
vacancies for the lower Grade Pay. However, an undertaking shall be submitted by the sportspersons
that he/she will not claim higher Grade Pay after joining the Railway.
OTHER IMPORTANT CONDITIONS:
A) Certificates issues by the National Sports Federation during the period of their derecognition are
ineligible to be considered for recruitment against Sports Quota through Open Advertisement. All
the Championships mentioned above should be conducted under aegis of recognized Inter-
National/National/State Sports Federation and also recognized by Railway Sports Promotion Board.
B) Period of Reckoning Sports Achievements – For recruitment against Sports Quota through Open
Advertisement, the recognized sports achievement should be in the current and or immediate
previous two-financial year and the sports person shall be an active player.
To illustrate, the sports achievement in recognized championships/events on or after 01/04/2020
shall only be considered for appointment. The concluding day of the championships or events will
be taken into account.

C) If any suitable/eligible candidate is not available in the disciplines for Category-1 i.e. for PB-1
with GP Rs.2400/2800/- (Corresponding to Level-4-5 of Pay Matrix as per 7th Pay
Commission), then the same quota may be downgraded to the quota for Category-2 i.e. for
PB- 1 with GP. 1900/-2000/- (Corresponding to Level-2-3 of Pay Matrix as per 7th Pay
Commission) for the same disciplines.
D) Sports persons having sports norms for higher Grade Pay and who have applied against the
vacancies for the lower Grade Pay can only be considered for recruitment against the Grade
Pay they have applied for. In such cases the sportsperson has to give an undertaking that
he/she will not claim for higher Grade Pay after joining Railways, on the basis of sports
achievement he/she has acquired prior to joining Railways.

NOTE:-

(i) Candidates must mandatorily upload scanned copy of certificates in support of their sports
achievements while filling up the application form and the originals must be produced on the
day of trials and document verification or as and when directed.
(ii) Eastern Railway reserves the right to consider only candidates who have the potential
to strengthen Eastern Railway existing teams on the basis of field trials conducted.
(iii) For Individual events, the performance during the field trial may preferably be equivalent or
better than 3rd place (time distance, etc.) of last All India Railways Championships.
(iv) The selected candidates should accept posting anywhere in Eastern Railway.
(v) Non-fulfillment of any of the criteria mentioned in this advertisement will make the
application liable for rejection.

8. RECRUITMENT PROCESS /SELECTION PROCEDURE :

i) The recruitment will be based on trials & assessment of recognized sports achievements as per
norms, Educational Qualifications, etc. The candidates, who are found FIT in trials, only will be
considered for next stage.
ii) The e-call letter for recruitment process would be available for online download on RRC/ER’s
website only for 20 days before the Trial date. Call letter would not be sent by post. The
candidates are hereby instructed to be in readiness for recruitment process and treat it as a notice
for the same. The candidates are instructed to check the website of RRC/ER regularly,
henceforth upto finalization of recruitment process.
iii) Selection is based on total marks obtained by the candidates. The distribution of marks is as
under:

iv) All field trials for recruitment of sports persons through Open Advertisement Quota will be video
graphed.

v) Trial : Trials of the candidates shall be conducted by Trial Committee to assess their sports
performance and suitability for Zonal Railway team as well as Indian Railway’s team. Trial
Committee shall give the recommendations in terms of FIT or NOT FIT for consideration for
next stage as per criteria given below.

a. For game skill, physical fitness & coach’s observations 40 Marks (Maximum Marks)
during Trials
b. FIT Candidate 25 Marks or more
c. NOT FIT candidate Below 25 Marks
vi) After Trial, only FIT candidates shall be considered for next stage by Recruitment Committee.
Recruitment Committee shall award 60 marks for sports achievement and educational
qualification as per following:
a. For assessment of recognized Sports achievements as per norms 50 Marks
b. Educational Qualification 10 Marks
NOTE :-
(1) For Educational Qualification, 6 marks shall be given to the candidate fulfilling only the minimum
Educational Qualification to the post against which he/she is being considered for appointment.
Candidate having higher educational qualification shall be given higher marks.
(2) Final Merit List of candidates shall be prepared on the basis of total marks awarded by Trial
Committee and Recruitment Committee. Minimum qualifying marks are as under:

(3) After selection by the Recruitment Committee, the candidate would be sent for medical
examination at Railway Hospital as per MERIT ORDER in the ratio of 1:1 of Notified vacancies.
It is mandatory for such a candidate to be declared fit in the prescribed medical standard, by
Railway Medical Authority as applicable for the offered post.
(4) The time and venue of Trial and document verification will be fixed by RRC/ER and will be intimated
to the eligible candidates in due course. Request for any change for date of Trial and document
verification will not be entertained under any circumstances.
(5) The sports person recruited as Clerk or Sr. Clerk against Sports Quota should pass the requisite Type-
writing Test within a period of 4 years from the date of their appointment. The Sportspersons
recruited against Sports Quota as Clerk/Sr. Clerk and acquired sports norms and fulfill other
conditions for out of turn promotion, he/she may be excepted from the condition of passing Type
writing Test for Out of Turn Promotion at the direction of GM/Head of the Organization.
(6) Selected candidates will have to submit a Service Bond of 5 years at the time of appointment. They
shall be on provision as per extant Railway rules.
NOTE : The offer of appointment shall be given purely on the basis of merit. In case more than one
sports person secure the same marks, preference will be given to younger candidate to
decide the merit. If age is also same them decision will be taken as per Railway Direct
Recruitment Quota rules. In terms of Railway Board’s Master Circular for Sports Quota
Recruitment, no special relaxation in qualifying criteria or reservation to any specific
community is provided in this recruitment process.

9. EXAMINATION FEES:
(i) For all candidates except those mentioned in sub-para (ii) below: Rs. 500/- (Rupees five Hundred only)
with a provision for refunding Rs.400/ (Rupees four hundred) to those who actually appear in the Trial.
(ii) For candidates belonging to SC, ST, Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes, Rs.
250/- (Rupees two hundred Fifty) only with a provision for refunding the same to those who actually
appear in the Trial.
(iii) Candidates must upload relevant documents as per Para-9/ii of this notification and produce
originals at the time of Trial and Document Verification.
(iv) Examination fee should be paid online through Internet Banking or Debit or Credit Cards (service
charges for payment of fees will be borne by the candidates).
(v) Examination Fees in Cash/Cheque/Money Order/Central Recruitment Fee Stamps/ Demand Draft will
not be accepted and accordingly application will be rejected.
(vi) Candidates should confirm if they wish to receive the refundable portion of examination fees (Rs. 400/-
or Rs.250/- as applicable) on attending trials in the account from which they have made payment or
alternatively, provide the beneficiary account in which they wish to receive the refund viz. beneficiary
name, account number, name of Bank and its IFSC code. The refundable portion of examination fees
shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable.
Note:
* Minorities referred here mean Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and
Zoroastrians (Parsis).
** Economically Backward Classes here refer to the candidates whose family income is less
than Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand) per annum.
10. HOW TO APPLY:
i) Candidates should ensure that their Name/Spelling, Father’s Name/Spelling, Community
details, Educational Qualification and Date of Birth match with the entries recorded in
Matriculation or equivalent certificate.
In case there is significant deviation/difference in the Name/Spelling/Dates etc. in the
documents of the candidate then his/her candidature will be cancelled from the day the
discrepancy is noticed. No claim would be entertained in this regard. Hence candidates are
advised to thoroughly check their documents.
ii) Eligible candidates are required to go to the link provided for filling ONLINE application
through website of RRC/ER (www.rrcer.com) and fill up the personal details/BIO-DATA
carefully.
iii) Candidates are advised to indicate their personal mobile no. and personal valid e-mail ID’s in
the ONLINE application and keep them active during the entire recruitment process for
communicating with them.

11. DOCUMENTS TO BE UPLOADED :

I. PHOTOGRAPH :
a) It should be a color passport-size photograph with white/light color background. It should be of
size 35mm X 45mm or 320 x 240 pixels. It should be in JPG/JPEG format scanned with 100 DPI
resolution. The size of the photograph should be between 20-50KB.
b) The color photograph must have been taken on or after publication of web notice in a professional
studio. Photographs taken using mobile and self composed portraits may result in rejection of
application.
c) The photograph must match with the appearance of the candidate on the days of Trial and
document verification and Medical test.
d) The photo should have clear front view of the candidate without cap and sunglasses.

e) The face should occupy at least 50% of the area of the photograph with a full face view looking at
the camera directly. The main features of the face must not be covered by hair of the head any
cloth or any shadow. Forehead, eyes, nose and chin should be clearly visible.
f) In case the candidate wears glasses, then the photograph should not have any glare/reflections on
glasses and eyes should be clearly visible.
g) Photos of the candidates on all documents should be identical in all stages of recruitment process.
Candidates are advised to keep at least 12 (Twelve) copies of the same photograph for further use,
as and when required during the recruitment process.
II SIGNATURE AND LTI :
a) The applicant has to sign and put LTI on white paper with Black Ink within a box of size 50 mm x 20
mm. The images should be in JPG/JPEG format scanned with 100 dpi resolution. Size of file should
be between 10-40 KB.
b) The signature and LTI must be of the applicant only and not of any other person otherwise it would
be treated as impersonation/fraud. Candidate should then upload scanned photograph, Left Thumb
Impression and signature in following manner.
c) Signatures of the candidates on all documents should be identical in all stages of recruitment process.
Signatures in different style at the time of Trial, Document Verification, Medical examination etc.
may result in cancellation of candidature.
d) Signature should be either in Hindi or English and must not be in Capital or Disjointed letter.
III OTHER DOCUMENTS (In pdf format only ) :
a) Self attested copy of a valid photo identity card issued by a government body/authority like Aadhar
card/PAN card/Driving License/Voter ID Card. should be uploaded along with the application form.
The candidate should carry this identity card in all stages of recruitment process along with the e-call
letter so that the personal details viz. name/spelling, date of birth etc. mentioned in the online
application are confirmed.
d) Self-attested certificate in proof of educational qualification issued by Board/Council/University as
per para 4 should be uploaded along with the application form.
e) Candidates who will produce Sports achievements certificate from Association of Indian University,
they must upload the following documents:- Universities Certificate or Mark Sheet or Admission
receipt book or College Photo Identity Card or College Fee Book or certificate issued by authority of
University/College that the said candidate is representing the said University/College in their
respective discipline of sports in that particular event.
f) Self-attested certificate in proof of age (Matriculation/10th certificate) as per para 3.
g) Self-attested certificate in proof of all recognized Sports achievements as per para 6 and 7.
h) Candidates claiming to be SC and ST communities - Self attested community certificates are required
to uploaded from the Competent Authority along with the online application as per the Annexure-I.
i) The OBC-NCL candidates - Self attested community certificate are required to upload from the
Competent Authority with the online application as per Annexure-II. They should also submit self
declaration as per Annexure-IIA indicating that the candidate does not belong to the Creamy layer.
EBC Candidates: Candidates claiming to belong to EBC are required to upload self attested Income
Certificate from the Competent Authority in the prescribed format Annexure - III of this Notification.
j) Minority Candidates:- Candidates claiming to belong to Minority Community are required to upload
a declaration for waiver of Examination fees. (As per Annexure - IIIA of this Notification).
k) EWS candidates: - Self attested EWS certificate are required to upload from the Competent Authority
with the online application as per Annexure – IV.
l) EX –Servicemen – Discharge certificate & Pension related documents (copy of PPO).
m)Certificates in languages other than English or Hindi should be accompanied by an attested
translation in English / Hindi.

12. STEPS TO SUBMIT ONLINE APPLICATON:
i) Visit the website of RRC-ER: www.rrcer.com or website of Eastern Railway
www.er.indianrailways.gov.in -> Railway Recruitment Cell. Click on “Online/E-Application for
Sports Quota /2022-23” link. Click on the “New Registration” link.
ii) Fill in the personal information viz. Name, Father’s name, Date of Birth, Community, E-mail address
and Mobile number. On submission of required details an E-mail/SMS will be received in the
registered E-mail ID/Mobile number. Open inbox of your registered E-mail/SMS and note the
registration number and password.

iii) Login - using the Registration number & password sent in the E-mail/SMS.

a) Follow the instructions and complete the registration process step-by-step


b) Bank Account Details for Refund Candidates who attend selection trials are eligible for refund of
examination fee as per details in Para 9. Candidates are required to indicate whether they want to
receive the refund in the bank account which was used to make the payment OR alternatively provide
the details of Beneficiary Account in which they wish to receive the refund viz. Beneficiary Name,
Account Number. Name of Bank and IFSC Code in the Online Application. Those candidates who
have given the confirmation to receive their refund in the account from which they have made the
application fee payment, need not fill these details and hence, this will not be visible for them. Only
those candidates who do not wish to receive the refund in the account through which they paid
examination fee.
c) Provide the details of a valid photo identity card and upload the same.
d) U Upload the scanned copy of Photograph, Signature and LTI, self attested certificates in proof of date
of birth, essential education/technical qualifications and caste i.e. SC/ST/OBC/EBC/EWS, income
certificate, self declarations pertaining to the OBC candidates and minority community candidates
and Sports achievements.
e) Make requisite payment using credit card/debit card or internet banking.
f) During submission of ONLINE application, a Unique Registration Number will be generated and
issued to each candidate. Candidates are advised to preserve/note their Registration number for
further stages of recruitment process/ correspondence.
g) No change whatsoever will be entertained after final submission of online application and
hard copy should be the same as submitted online. Submit the properly filled up application form.

h) Candidates should have their own mobile number, valid & active personal email-id and should keep

their application within the last day on account of aforesaid reasons or any other reason.

m) Candidates should note that applications received directly at RRC will not be entertained.

13. INVALID APPLICATIONS:


The applications having any of the following deficiencies, discrepancies or irregularities will be
summarily rejected:
i) Applications sent manually and not registered ONLINE.
ii) Registration of more than one application by the same candidate.
iii) Applications received after closing date as per schedule.

iv) Application without paying or paying less examination fee than prescribed by this Notification.
v) Applications which are incomplete, faulty or ineligible in any manner.
vi) Application without Date, Unsigned and Signed in Block or Capital or Disjoined letters may be the
cause of rejection of the application.
vii) Application without proper scanned Photograph, Signature and LTI, other enclosures.
viii) Application without uploading a photo identity card and proper certificates with respect of Date of
Birth, educational qualification certificates in support of recognized sport achievement,
caste/community etc. as mentioned of this notification. Certificate not obtained from the
appropriate authority are liable to be rejected.
ix) Candidate not possessing the prescribed educational qualifications and minimum sporting
achievements at the time of submitting application.
x) Over age or date of birth not filled or wrongly filled.
xi) Photograph not uploaded, black and white photo, photo with cap or sunglasses, disfigured, small
size, full body, only one side view of the face or unrecognizable photo etc.
xii) Any other irregularities which are considered invalid by RRC/ER.
xiii) The application is liable to be rejected if any of the compulsory enclosure is not attached as
indicated in the proforma of the application or the application is found defective in any respect
xiv) No column should be left blank, which may also be the cause of rejection of the application.
xv) Discipline should be mentioned in the application. Not mentioning the same may be the criteria of
rejection of application.
Note: - The list only illustrative and not exhaustive. The applications will be rejected on any their
irregularity / deficiency noticed by the RRC at any stage.
14. IMPORTANT POINTS TO BE NOTED:
i. Non- fulfillment any of the criteria mentioned in this advertisement will make the application liable for
rejection.
ii. The decision of the Administration in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of
applications etc. will be final and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
iii. For Refund of Examination Fee, candidate must produce the Caste Certificate, Death Certificate of
husband, Affidavit that she has not remarried since, copy of Decree from the Competent Court of Law,
Discharge Certificate, No Objection Certificate and Bonafide Certificate from the employer along with the
application form, where applicable.
iv. Name of the successful candidates declared to be so by the competent authority will be published
separately, whose candidature shall be provisional till completion of departmental verification of
qualifications, certificates etc. and found genuine along with the completion of other formalities as per
extant rules. Verification of certificates will also be a mandatory condition for appointment.
v. The list of eligible/ ineligible and dates will be published on the website of RRC/ER.
vi. For the eligible candidates, the link for downloading the E-Call Letter/Admit Card would also be made
available on the RRC website in due course. Candidates must bring the original photo identity card with the
online application along with the E- Call letter in all stages of the recruitment process viz. trials, Document
Verification etc.
vii. The candidates will have to bring their own kit for the sports trial and also 4 recent passport size
photographs (same as affixed on the application).
viii. The candidates should abide by the instructions given on the RRC Website, instructions given along
with the E- Call letter and instruction given at the time of various recruitment stages.
ix. Railway administration does not undertake any responsibility for sending reply to candidates not being
selected or not called for in any stages of the recruitment process.
x. RRC reserves the right to conduct the recruitment stages Trials/DV on various dates and venues as
decided by RRC/ER.
xi. The candidates are advised to visit website of RRC/ER regularly for various information of the stages of
selection. Railway administration will not be held responsible for failure of candidates to check notices on
website of RRC/ER.

xii. Further details like list of candidates found eligible for attending trials dates and venues of trials and
other necessary information related to this recruitment will be available on the website of RRC/ER.
xiii. The recruitment process as mentioned in detail at para-8 would be followed and merit would be
prepared on the basis of all the relevant point mentioned in this notification and as per extant Railway
Rules.
xiv. As per the extant rules a 2nd Class journey Pass from Home Station to the place of Trials and back will
be issued to SC/ST candidates for appearing in Trials as well as Document Verification.
xv. Candidates should ensure to bring original documents for Date of Birth, Educational Qualification,
Recognized Sports Achievements, Caste/Community Certificates etc. on the date of Trial, Documents
verification etc., without which the candidate will not be allowed to appear.
xvi. Candidates who would be called for trial should prepare themselves to attend the same within short
notice.
xvii. The candidates may be required to stay during the selection trials for 2-3 days for which they have to
make their own arrangements.
xviii. No TA/DA/Accommodation will be given for appearing in the selection trials etc.
xix. The Railway administration reserves the right to fix, postponement or change any date and venue for
trials etc, as per its own convenience, which can also be cancelled due to unforeseen causes against which
no request/claim will be entertained.
xx. Candidature of the candidate is provisional at all stages of selection subject to fulfillment of all
eligibility condition and RRC reserves the right to cancel the candidature at any stage if found not eligible
under the Rules/Instructions issued by the Railway Board from time to time.
xxi. Mere calling/appearing for any stages of recruitment process, does not confer any right or claim for
appointment.
xxii. Posting of selected candidates would depend on availability of vacancies, medical fitness and decision
of Competent Authority.
xxiii. Serving Govt. Employees should take NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from appropriate authority.
xxiv. PROHIBITION OF THE MOBILE/PHONES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
DEVICES: Possession/use of Mobile phones, Pagers, Communication/recording devices Bluetooth,
Jewellery and any other electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the premises where the trial is being
conducted. Any violation of these instructions shall entail cancellation of the candidature without prejudice
to other criminal/disciplinary action including debarment from future examinations.
xxv. Candidates are also advised not to bring any valuable/costly items to the examination halls, as safe-
keeping of these items cannot be assured. Administration will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
xxvi. Canvassing in any form and malpractice of any kind will result in disqualification of the candidate.
xxvii. All or any of the terms/conditions in the notification can be modified/cancelled as per relevant
Railway rules/ modification/exigencies.
xxviii. LEGAL JURISDICTION: For any legal disputes, the jurisdiction will be Hon’ble Central
Administrative Tribunal(CAT)/Kolkata.
CAUTION:- RRC Eastern Railway has not appointed any agent or coaching centre for acting on its
