Set-up of the V20 finger print Reader

Default User ID. (1111)

To enter system set-up press the system key “C” then enter your user ID code and present
your finger to the scanner.

1. Setup of the GRAB Function to Low Easy and set the static function.
¾ Enter the setup mode

Press the Alt Key to Enter the Setup Menu

Press “2” to enter Setup

Press Alt to enter the Hidden Menu

Press the “Yes” Button to enter the menu


Scroll down to the GRAB function by
using the “NO” button

Press the “Yes” button to change to LOW


EASY

Press NO to Continue to scroll to Static


Check

Press the “Yes” Key to change to ON

2. Relay Setup
¾ Enter the setup mode

Press the Alt Key to Enter the Setup Menu


Press “2” to enter Setup

Press “1” to enter System

Press “3” to Enter Relay

Press “yes” if you want to change the time


Enter the new time setting and then “Yes”
to save setting.

Relay must be set to Normally Closed (if


relay is set to normally open press “Yes” to
change to normally closed) or press no to
scroll to Door Output.
Press “Yes” to change to 2 and then press
“No” to scroll to Aux Doors.

Press “Yes” to change to 2 and then press


“No” to return to the System Menu.

System Menu

Setup of Alarms

In System Menu Press “4” to enter the


Alarm Setup

Press “1” to enter Alarm Setup


Press “3” to Select Verify Failed

Press the “Yes” Button to change to No


V/Fail Output!!!!!

Press The “No” Button to save and exit to


the Alarm Menu

Press the “Clear” button to exit to the


System Menu

Network Setup

Press the “2”button to enter the


Communication Menu
Press the “4” button to enter the Ethernet
menu

Press the “yes” Button to change the


Ethernet to ON

Press the Yes Button to Change the IP


Address to the relevant Setting then Press
the “Yes” button to save and move to the
next menu

Press the “Yes” button to change the


Remote Host IP Address to the relevant
Setting then press the “Yes” button to save
and move to the next menu.

Press the “Yes” to change the Gateway to


True
Press the “2” button to select True

Press the “Yes’ button to change the


Gateway address to the relevant setting
then press ”Yes” to save and move to the
next menu

Press the “Yes” Button to change the


Subnet Mask address to the relevant setting
and press the “Yes” button to save and
move to the next menu

Press the “Clear” Button to return to the


Comm menu

Press the “Clear” button till you get to the


New Enrollment Menu.
To enroll a new person to the system

Press any key accept the “alt” or the “clear”


Keys to move to the next menu.

Enter a four digit code after the code is


entered you will move to the next menu
automatically

Select how many fingers you want to use


(recommend that two fingers is used)

Press the “Yes” button to accept this setting


or the “No” Button to change the user
profile.

Enter “1,2” or ether “1” or “2” door access


Press the “Yes” button to save and move to
the next menu

Press the “Yes” button accept the finger on


the “No” button to select another finger

Place the users finger on the scanner to


scan

Press the “Yes” button to accept the scan

Press the “Yes” button to test the


enrollment
Press the “Yes” Button to accept the entry

Press the “Clear” Button to exit the setup


menu

System is now ready to use

Key Switch Override

In case the finger print reader does not work use the key switch override on the right hand
side of the finger print reader insert the key and turn to the opposite direction than the
current position to override the doors.
