RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research methodology refers to the techniques used to find and analyses information for a
study here we are using fundamental analysis.

Need of report

➢ Analyse the nature of organization.

➢ Identify factors impacting organization.
➢ Enables investors to identify the intrinsic worth of a security even before investing in it.

➢ Studying and evaluating past and current data helps investors and traders to gain an edge
in the markets to make informed decisions.

Relevance of report

➢ Analysis has led to an increase in profits of traders and investors.

➢ Correct analysis of the market directly leads to more profits as analysis gives important
insights into the future price movements.

➢ Provides early signals before the reversal of the trend so that investors and traders can
take their decision based on those signals.

Hypothesis

H0: Fundamental analysis assumes that stock market price differ.

H1: Fundamental analysis assumes that stock market does not differ.

5
Data analysis and interpretation

➢ Analysts use fundamental analysis find this information in a company’s financial

statements- including the balance sheet, the income statement, and the cash flow
statement.

➢ Analysts also compare their findings against industry benchmarks and competitor’s
financial statements to figure out the company’s competitive position.

➢ Fundamental analysis assumes that a stock market’s price and the real- or intrinsic value-
of share of stock differ.

➢ Predicting stock prices is not an exact science, but certain financial ratios can help
investors decide whether an investment is good purchase at a given price.

➢ Traders watch fundamentals and technical to determine when to buy and sell. Technical
analysis of stock price charts is a tool that some traders use to determine buy signals and
sell signals given by price fluctuations.

Limitations

➢ Fundamental analysis is based on reported and publicly available data. But if the
management has incorrectly reported financial details or you have misinterpreted it, then
your decision may go wrong.

➢ Uses historical financial data to predict future earnings based on expected growth rate.
Blindly relying on these historical numbers can be dangerous.

➢ Technical analysis is limited to studying market trends and lacks the ability to deep dive
into an instrument or an industry to understand it’s working.

➢ Technical analysis works only in some cases and the reason it works is that it contains a
self-fulfilling prediction.

6
CONCLUSION

➢ Stock market plays a important role in financial aspect of the nation’s growth, but stock
market is highly volatile and complex in nature. It is affected by significant political
issues, analyst calls, news articles company’s future plans of expansions and growth and
many more.

➢ The demand to predict stock prices are extremely high, hence is need for stock market
analysis. This project is focused on analysing a stock of given company based on
statistical technical and fundamental indicators.

➢ Conclusion will be drawn based on findings and analysis during my research work.
