A pleasant day all of you may fellow student my name is Mark Angelo A.

Oraa
your presenter for Rubrics Pertaining to Texture
But before I further continue my topic I must ask of you What Is the Importance of
Rubrics?
 Rubrics assist students, parents, and teachers in determining what
constitutes quality work. Students may evaluate their own work and take
greater ownership of the final result. Rubrics enable teachers to readily
explain to students why they obtained the grade they did.
 Parents who work with their children understand exactly what is anticipated
for a specific project.
 Request that a rubric be provided home with project instructions or other
assignments like writing.
How Can Rubrics Help Students?
 When students are provided the rubrics ahead of time, their success is not
left to chance. Because rubrics clearly identify expectations and standards,
students may realize where they need to improve their outcomes.
 A well-designed rubric enables teachers to compare a student's performance
or output to what it should be rather than to the performance or product of
another student.
 Teachers and students using rubrics may collaborate to create a good
evaluation environment.
 Both sides are urged to look beyond right and wrong and find the merits
and/or faults in well-executed projects or performances.
 Rubrics allow students to evaluate their own work while also allowing peers
to evaluate one another's work. Students utilize the rubric as a checklist
during the work to assess their product and monitor their progress. Rubrics
are great tools for encouraging peer evaluation because they teach students
how to provide and accept constructive comments.
How Can Rubrics Help Parents?
 Because they know exactly what is expected of their kid, parents might feel
more secure and comfortable assisting pupils with homework.
 Knowing what is evaluated in a project or piece of work opens the door to a
dialogue about "what matters" among instructors, students, and parents.
 Rubrics are useful for sparking discussions about what it takes to fulfill or
surpass a benchmark, as well as what more learning is required.
What exactly is a rubric?
 A rubric is a "guide" that specifies what is expected in an assignment or
project and aids in the evaluation (or grading) of a student's performance.
 A rubric is a type of evaluation tool that is used to grade pupils' work.
 A rubric is a working guide for students and teachers that is typically
distributed prior to the start of an assignment to get students thinking about
what is expected of their work.
 A rubric explains to parents why a specific grade is assigned to their child's
work.
Now going bact to topic Rubrics Pertaining to Texture
 Listed below is a sample of general rubrics for assessing a student’s learning
in texture. The number before each rubric indicate the achievement level, as
shown in the previous lessons. These rubrics cover both written and
performance-based activities.
Here we have an example of rubric in assessing texture.

0 The student cannot describe and identify if a piece’s texture is monophonic,

polyphonic, or homophonic upon listening and looking at the score.
1 The student has difficulty in describing and identifying if a piece’s texture is
monophonic, polyphonic, or homophonic upon listening and looking at the
score.
2 The student can sometimes analyze and describe a piece’s texture upon
listening and looking at the score.

3 The student can confidently analyze and describe the texture of a piece while
looking at the score and listening to it simultaneously.
