Topic 5: types of tourist attractions

Everyone likes to travel. Visiting places where we usually do not go is really exiting.During vacations, we
often hear the news reported that famous tourist attractions are crowded, but how do people choose
the places their visiting? Each tourist attraction has different unique characteristics. And here, it is
classified in these three types: nature, culture and food.
The places where people can commune with nature may be the most popular. Nature allows people to
escape the pollution and pressures of the city life. For example, people can enjoy swimming at the
beach or in river, and mountain climbing. These places may be fantastic if people can go there with
many friends. People can see cherry blossoms blooming in spring and colored leaves in fall. In Japan,
there are many spots of this kind and it usually attracts elderly people.
Another type of tourist attractions is where people can learn about culture. Act and historical museums
are often introduced in guide books. And I think these places are popular with adults, not children. The
reason is that there people have to be quiet and children get bored easily. However, I think historical
architectures are popular with all sorts of people.
While on trip, most people feel like eating something special. Therefore, restaurants where they can
enjoy ethnic food or special product of certain district may be popular. People also want to go to the
shop where they can buy souvenirs. Food is remarkable characteristic of traveling spots.
Tourist attractions can be divided into three types: nature, culture and food. All of them have
advantages, however, each people has different thinking about ideal types. If you go travel, you should
consider the situation and make the plan which everyone can enjoy a lot.
