Supply Unit (DSU) exercise

CAUTION! Before starting the exercise be sure that the supply

cable plug is disconnected from the wall socket (orange cable).

After this exercise you are able to:

- locate the components of the DSU in the cabinets

- read the circuit diagrams and identify the components and their symbols
- change the cooling fan of the DSU module
- remove the DSU module from the cabinet and install it back to the cabinet

Open the left hand door of the ACS800-07 drive.

1. Locate the numbered objects from the cabinet and the circuit diagrams and write down on the table
below the object numbers and device names for objects:

2. Check that the Prevention of unexpectedd start-up switch bypass wires are installed in the
terminal block X9.

3. Remove one auxiliary voltage fuse F10.

4. Open the swing out frame of the supply section (Chapter: Hardware description).

drawings and the transformer.

5. Remove the cooling fan of the DSU module according to the instructions of the Hardware
manual (Chapter : Maintenance).

Install the fan back to the module.

6. Remove the DSU module according to the instructions of the Hardware manual (Chapter:
Electrical installation).

How many input phase terminals exists in the DSU module? _______________

What kind of connection is possible for D4 module?
