THE TAXIMAN
By: Catherine Lim

• The story indeed awaken our minds about the reality of how the generation
nowadays are constantly changing, getting wilder, bolder and liberated.
• One of the reason is the fact that their parents are very busy working hard for
them and those teens just don’t even think or care about it.
• They lack moral guidance and discipline, and
their actions are undesirable. As a result, we are unable to determine who exactly ha
s a problem with this, but it is
only a matter of time and effort until we fill in our "lacks."
• We can see modernization in the story since every event and/or object
describes a contemporary way of life and how it has impacted society, particularly
teens.
• The significance of trusting others is also highlighted in this particular story. It
also emphasizes how difficult it is to earn trust and how challenging it is to regain it
after you have lost it.
