Highlights
InfinityQS is pleased to announce the release of a major upgrade to our industry-leading software: ProFicient 4. ProFicient 4 includes new enhancements and features to further help you improve quality and drive down costs. ProFicient 4 focuses on compliance reporting (useful for companies in regulated industries or companies who need to meet customer specifications), an enhanced user experience, and integration with enterprise-wide systems for greater visibility of product quality. As with every new release, the upgrades have been directed by the software users themselves. The demand for these new features and enhancements is significant, and InfinityQS has incorporated them into the product as part of its mission to help customers succeed through improved quality and decreased costs. ProFicient 4 is provided to customers at no cost if they have an Annual Maintenance Agreement (AMA).

Compliance Reporting
Net Content Control
Manufacturers in the food and packaging industries must comply with filling requirements for Net Contents (weight) control. The vast majority of all regulations use MAV and T1/T2 for Net Contents. The Net Content Control feature in ProFicient 4 will provide support for these requirements. Inside of the SPC applications, the control boundaries can be displayed and reports can be created that include these parameters.

Sampling Requirements
ProFicient 4 allows users to define sampling requirements. This feature is critical in ensuring that users are collecting enough data and that the data is being collected at the appropriate intervals. The corresponding Sampling Compliance Report that allows users to determine if they are collecting enough data to meet customer requirements or regulatory mandates.

Triggers and Actions

ProFicient 4 will include user-definable conditions which incorporate "triggers" and "actions" as part of the new Sampling Requirement features. Based on the results of a data collection operation, these triggers and actions can be used to dynamically alter sampling requirements, display messages, send emails, launch applications, open documents and more. For example, users can automatically create a sampling request for your lab based on data collection results from the production floor. The lab personnel can be notified of the requirement via email or they can view a display of their current data collection tasks via the new Dynamic Scheduler utility. The ability to create dynamic data collection workflows and automatic notifications along with the new Sampling Requirement Compliance report will be particularly beneficial to users in the regulated industries, such as food and pharmaceutical.

Dynamic Scheduler
The Dynamic Scheduler displays a schedule of data collection activities. When it's time to collect data, an alert pops up on the computer screen indicating to the operator that data must be collected. The alert will remain on the screen until the data has been entered into the system. Dynamic Scheduler helps to ensure that sampling requirements are met by notifying the operator of data collection tasks. The SPC application does not need to be open for the dynamic scheduler to be running.

Process State, Scheduling & Reporting

Extensive enhancements are incorporated in ProFicient 4 which track process state changes (i.e. startup, running, scheduled down time). These process states are used for scheduling purposes and as a basis for additional analysis--which is useful in compliance reporting. These reporting enhancements will be particularly beneficial to users in the regulated industries, such as food and pharmaceutical, who must document that data collection requirements are being met.

Enhanced Data Entry to Support HACCP and SSOP Checks

ProFicient 4 offers a visual checklist for the operator to conduct HACCP and SSOP checks. The checklist display requires the operator to answer questions and/or confirm that these checks have been performed.

Enhanced Capability Report

The SPC Enterprise edition offers a new Capability Report that dynamically adds and removes rows based upon the report's master data selection. For example, if you configure the report's data selection to include all rows for the Active Data Entry Part, the entire report automatically refreshes when you select a new part.

Report Writer Upgrade

ProFicient 4 offers new templates and new template functionality including Certificate of Analysis (COA) and other customer reporting.

Enhanced Operator Experience

ProFicient 4 offers new options to help shop floor operators be more efficient at collecting data.

Single Column View of Data Entry

Test characteristics can be viewed in a single column as opposed to horizontally in several columns. This enhancement allows users to have more flexibility in how they view characteristics. For example, an operator can view a checklist of specific tasks and/or data collection activities. This is particularly useful for conducting HACCP and SSOP checks.

Marker Capability
Control Chart markers have been extended to allow the selection of more marker types and greater flexibility by changing marker groups, such as Specification Limits, into individual markers, such as USL and Target only. The available markers include the following: Calculated Control Limits (cUCL, cCL and cLCL) Specified Control Limits (UCL, CL and LCL) URL (Upper Reasonable Limit) USL (Upper Specification Limit) UWL(Upper Warning Limit) Target (Target Specification Limit) LWL (Lower Warning Limit) LSL (Lower Specification Limit) LRL (Lower Reasonable Limit) MAV (u) (Maximum Allowable Variation Upper Control Limit) T1 (u) (T1 Upper Control Limit) T2 (u) ( T2 Upper Control Limit)

Toolbar Scripts
Using an InfinityQS Project Toolbar Command (IPTC) script file, you can create at toolbar button that invokes multiple sequential commands.

Enterprise Integration & Visibility

InfinityQS has released new applications with ProFicient 4 and/or eSPC that integrate real-time quality data from the shop floor into enterprise systems. This integration provides enterprise-wide visibility into manufacturing operations. These applications can also pull data from a variety of sources and standardize it in such a way that it can be analyzed in ProFicient.

Live Data Warehouse (Data Management System)

This Data Management System (DMS) assembles data from multiple sources and stores them in a single repository. The data can be collected from a wide variety of systems such as: OPC File Serial TCP/IP Databases Wonderware

Data Collection Service

Users can also fully automate this data collection activity (into the DMS) to run as a background operation. This real-time, fully-automated data collection service can also acquire test data from enterprise and plant applications, and from virtually any electronic test equipment. This data can then be easily compiled into meaningful and actionable information about manufacturing processes.
