Malnutrition and hunger are a major problem around the world, especially in the
developing world and in developing countries, where they kill millions of people
every year. Despite advances in science and medicine and continued assistance from
developed countries, the problem remains extremely serious. In this infographic we
look at how big the global hunger problem will be in 2021.

The causes of Hunger and malnourishment

Hunger and malnourishment is strongly interconnected with poverty,


and it involves interactions among an array of social, political,
demographic, and societal factors.
