I. COURSE/PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION:
Ibong Adarna is one of the greatest masterpieces in Philippine literature. It’s a mythical story
formed in a corrido, a narrative song, and poetry with 4 lines. Each line has 8 syllables with rhyme
at the end. Ibong Adarna was known as Corrido at Buhay na Pinagdaanan nang Tatlong
Principeng Magcacapatid na Anac nang Haring Fernando at nang Reina Valeriana sa Cahariang
Berbania. Its long title merely described what the masterpiece is all about. The story revolves
around love, sacrifice, and some folklore. The study of Ibong Adarna will surely help the students
understand Filipino culture, literature, and religion.

This is the best structure for this course because it includes both synchronous and asynchronous
activities. The students will learn online and offline with the proper facilitation of the teacher.
Activities in this course are flexible for freshmen learners and it allows interaction with their
classmates. Also, activities will be assessed and evaluated by the teacher which will help to see
the performance and growth of each student.
