 BARANGAY KATIPUNAN
Ang Barangay Katipunan, nag-umpisa sa pangalan nga ‘Mckenly’. Naghalin sa mga
Missionaries nga nagbuhis sang ila kabuhi sang nag World War II. Nag- sugod sa pagtipon ang
tawo paagi sa Simbahan nga ginapangunahan sang Kapitan Del Bario nga si Narciso Mariano,
sang tuig 1926.
Para matudluan ang mga pumuluyo sang ihibalo, para sa kaluwasan kag kinamatarong, gin-
imbita si Rev. Delfin Dianala, para magweek- end Pastor sa Mckenly, paagi sa pagsugat dul-ong
bilang manunudlo sang pumuluyo kag didto natigayon nga makapatindog sang simbahan sang
tuig 1929. Tungod nakaintindi na ang mga tawo indi na sarang mainto sang mga Tapaznon ang
mga taga Mckenly. Nag-untat ang pag sugo-sugo kag panukot sing arkila sang duta nga ila gina-
angko. Samtang sila nagatipon sa simbahan ang pumuluyo may dala nga talibong kag bangkaw,
ginapasandig ini nila sa likod sang Simbahan. Tungod indi na makaporma ang Tapaznon,
ginsunog nila ang simbahan kag magbiya sa Mckenly.
Bangod kay nabudlayan ang mga tawo magmitlang sang Mckenly, ginkasugtan nga ilisan ang
pangalan sang lugar sang Katipunan buot hambalon ‘‘ang tilipunan’’. Tungod naglunsad kag
kinahanglan mapahat-pahat ang Barangay sa kalaparon nga 258, 9494 ektarya, ginpahat-pahat
sa pito ka Sitio ang mga ini, Poblacion I, Poblacion II, Sitio Karatagan, Sitio Romaje,, Sitio Sambu-
ong Ilaya, Sitio Sambu-ong Ilawod kag Sitio Tungguhan.
