Generic Name: Penicillin G sodium Brand: Name: Pfizerpen Classification: Penicillin antibiotic Antibiotic Dosage: 2.5million units q6 Route: IVP

Bactericidal: inhibits synthesis of the cell wall of sensitive organism causing cell death.

Containdicated with allergy to penicillin, cephalosporin, imipenem, beta Treatment of syphilis, lactamase, other gonococcal infections. allergens. Treatment of severe infections caused by sensitive organism. Unlabeled use: treatment for Lyme disease. Use cautiously with renal disease, pregnancy, lactation

CNS: Lethargy, hallucination, seizure. GI: Glossitis, gastritis, sore mouth, nausea, vomiting, bloody diarrhea, abdominal pain. GU: Oliguria, proteinuria, hematuria, pyuria Hematologic: Anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, neutropenia and prolonged bleeding time.

Assess: History: Allergy to penicillin, cephalosporin, imipenem, beta lactamase, other allergens. Physical: Culture infection, skin rash, lesions, CBC, renal function test if hypersensitivity occurs. This drug must be given by injection for severe infections Report unusual bleeding, sore throat, rash, DOB, fever ,severe diarrhea.

Generic Name: Omeprazole Brand: Name: Losec Classification: Antisecretory Proton pump inhibitor Dosage: 40mg OD Route: IVP

Gastric-acid pump inhibitors. Suppresses gastric acid secretion by specific inhibition of the hydrogenpotassium ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cells; blocks the final step of acid production.

Short-term treatment of active duodenal cancer. Short-term treatment of active benign gastric ulcer. Eradication of Helicobacter Pylori. First line therapy for treatment of heartburn or symptoms of GERD

Contraindicated with hypersensitivity to omeprazole or its components. Use cautiously with pregnancy, lactation.

CNS: Headache, dizziness, asthenia, vertigo, insomnia, anxiety, dream abnormalities. Dermatologic: rash, inflammation, urticaria, pruritus, dry skin. GI: Diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, constipation, tongue atrophy.

Assess: History: hypersensitivity to omeprazole or any of its components; pregnancy, lactation. Physical: Skin lesions, reflexes, urinary output, abdominal examination, respiratory auscultation. Administer before meals. Administer antacids with if needed. Have regular medical follow - up visits. Report severe headache, worsening, fever or chills.
