I. INTRODUCTION:
The Department of Education recognizes the importance of the
development and advancement of students and learners on the principle of
lifelong learning. One of the many ways of developing one’s skills is by
engaging the youth in different activities that will best suit their interests
and skills, especially in the times of pandemics wherein they are limited to
different sports and activities that they usually do. Educational Robotics
allows youth of different ages to learn in different ways creativity,
imagination and collaboration will be highly emphasized.

Robotics has been introduced as a powerful, flexible teaching-learning tool

stimulating youth’s interest in creating one's technological artifacts instead
of being just users of devices that others have made for them. The
proponents together with the Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy Javalera, City
of General Trias, Cavite shall conduct a training workshop on the
orientation of youths’ interests to be more adept in understanding Robot
Systems and Robotics.

The purpose of this project is to capacitate selected youth of Brgy Javalera

on the use of Educational Robotics and its applications.

II. OBJECTIVES:
Specifically, this aims to:
1. To introduce educational robotics to selected youth of Brgy Javalera including their
level of capability to program a robot

2. To strengthen and support youths’ skills in developing their knowledge through the
creation, design, assembly, and operation of robots

3. To establish a free robotics training camp team in the barangay focusing on

integrating robotics in applying the scientific process in their learning process in
their respective schools

4. To give selected youths’ of Brgy. Javalera is an alternative way of spending their

quality time and inspired them to continue learning despite the challenges they
face in the times of pandemic.

III. TARGET BENEFICIARIES:

Grades 7 to 10, Special Science Class Students of Governor Ferrer Memorial
National High School-Main

IV. Venue:
Virtual Training via Google Meet/Zoom

V. PROJECT STRATEGY/ACTIVITIES:

1. The online training will be scheduled on May 18, 2022, onwards.
