Introduction
We generally use the word 'stress' when we feel that everything seems to have
become too much - we are overloaded and wonder whether we really can cope
with the pressures placed upon us. Anything that poses a challenge or a threat to
our well-being is a stress.

Definition of stress
Stress is a feeling that people have when they are
struggling to cope with challenges related to
finances, work, relationships, environment and
other situations. People often use the word stress
interchangeably with anxiety, feeling anxious,
fearful, nervous, overwhelmed, panic or stressed-

Emotionally, eustress can result in positive
feelings of contentment, inspiration,

Distress is a state of extreme sorrow, suffering,
or pain.
