II. Course Title: Personal Identification Techniques
III. Course Credits: 3 units
IV. Course Description:

The course is designed to enumerate and describe the different


personal identification techniques applied in crime detection and
investigation. Specifically, it focuses on fingerprint recording, developing
of latent prints and identification and classification of fingerprints for
purposes of court presentation.

General Instructions:

You are expected to complete the activities of this LMS within one
(1) semester. Please DO NOT leave out any activity incomplete. Should

D. Introduction:

This module deals with the concepts of


fingerprinting and to internalize the importance or value of
fingerprints.

E. Intended Learning Outcome/ ILO

At the end of the topic, students are expected to:

1. define and understand the composition and structure of


skin and identify and illustrates the different ridge
characteristics ,identify the three large group of
fingerprint
2. internalize the rules in the selection of a Core and Delta
and learn how to whorl tracing is to be done.
3. write and compare how to perform ridge counting and
the rules in whorl tracing and proper taking of
fingerprint impressions.

F. Pre-test 2.0

1. Explain the biological function of the friction or the friction


skin. ( limit your answer 50 -100 words)
