OQ/PV Kit No.

Agilent Part Number: 5063-6503 Sample Lot Number: HC141647

The standards provided in this kit were prepared gravimetrically and/or volumetrically
under controlled environmental conditions. Materials used were analytical grade
chemicals and spectroscopic quality solvents. The standards were qualified
photometrically using a research grade spectrophotometer calibrated using NIST 930 +
2930 or NIST 1930 (neutral density glass), and Merck reference material Cat. No.
108166 (holmium perchlorate solution) [1]. The manufacturing, testing and distribution
of these standards meet the requirements of the quality management norm DIN EN ISO
9001:2008

Standard Purpose Value

60.06 mg/l Photometric When measured with a path length of 1 cm at
potassium accuracy test 20.0°C this solution should have the following
dichromate in 0.01 N absorbance valuesa.
sulphuric acid Wavelenght(nm) 235 257 313 350
Absorbance(A) 0.748 0.868 0.292 0.644
The standard values are certified to be within
± 0.005 A of the above. Note: Absorbance values
are temperature sensitive.
600.6 mg/l Photometric When measured with a path length of 1 cm at
potassium accuracy test 20.0°C this solution should have the following
dichromate in 0.01 N absorbance valuesa.
sulphuric acid Wavelenght(nm) 430
Absorbance(A) 0.955
The standard values are certified to be within
± 0.007 A of the above. Note: Absorbance values
are temperature sensitive.
50 g/l sodium nitrite Stray light The standard is certified to have a transmittance of
in water test < 0.001% at 340 nm
10 g/l sodium iodide Stray light The standard is certified to have a transmittance of
in water test < 0.001% at 220 nm
12 g/l potassium Stray light The standard is certified to have a transmittance of
chloride in water test < 0.25% at 200 nm and 198 nm
0.02% v/v toluene in Resolution The ratio of the maximum at 269 nm to the
hexane test absorbance minimum at 266 nm is related to the
slit width as follows:
Resolution(nm) 1.0 2.0
Ratio(269/266) 2.0 1.4
