The Plan
Objectives
The training plan’s objectives were:
1. Train new hire employees on the process implemented by the business.
2. Orient the trainees on the things that they need to do and the things that are
not allowed at work.
Scope
The trainers will be oriented on how the business works and will be trained on the
different kitchen processes that are followed by all employees in carrying out
their tasks.
Methodology
The newly hired service crew will all be assigned on the same shift and will be
handled by that shift’s supervisor. On the third day of training, they will be
partnered with a tenured employee whom they will observe and then assist until
they are ready to start as probationary employees.
Findings
The findings were as follows:
1. The new employees already have previous service crew experience so training
went smoothly without incident.
2. 60% of the trainees were able to catch up with the business processes. The
remaining 40% must try not to confuse the business’ process with that of their
previous job.

Conclusion
Employees with service crew previous experience learn quickly. However, they
have a tendency to get confused with the processes of their previous and current
jobs.
Recommendations
1. Training for service crew with experience should be separate from those
without experience because they need a longer time to fully understand the
process.
2. Improve the training plan activities and develop evaluation standards for
probationary employees.
