Rationale
The rationale is direct-to-the-point discussion of the problem. It should
have the following components:
1. Presentation of the importance of the system software, algorithms,
processes, or enterprise resource plan to be designed or developed – this
serves as the introduction to the research or design problem.

In this era of technology smartphones play a significant role in our day-to-day life. The QR
code-based school even attendance provides a more efficient way of checking and recording
the attendances of student whenever the school have an event. The code along with the
student identity taken by the application will confirm the students' attendance. The main
objective of the automated attendance system is to computerize the traditional way of
recording attendance and provide an efficient and automated method to track attendance in
institutions.
2. Research Locale – provide a short introduction to the organization or group
where the project will be conducted.

The project will be conducted at SCS. A private catholic school located at Real Street, Buag,
Bambang, Philippines
3. Existence of an unsatisfactory condition or a felt problem that needs a
solution (which involves the development of a software) – discuss the
problem in detail.
Teachers takes so much time and effort checking the attendances of their students. It could
waste a lot of time. Teacher always thinks about who attended in the event which therefore
they will have to recheck their records. With the system they can easily determine who is
present and who attended the event.

With system checking the attendance and making the checking automatic and safely
stored there will be no problem determining who is present or absent.
