Proceedings:
The meeting started at 9 in the morning at Grade 10 Jade room. Everyone is present and
came on time. The meeting started with the reading and approval of previous meeting.
Followed by the department chair for Languages and Math presentation of the consolidated
the MPS results from JHS and SHS English and Math pretests. It was revealed that :

Mr. Harvey Serena, MT I suggested, an intervention/plan must be done to address the
learning gap in literacy and numeracy. Recommendation of lead agents for the project were
Mr. Celmar Kuizon, TII as Chair and Mr. Gerzon Raza, TI and Ms. Meralyn Banez, TII as co
chairperson with the rest of the faculty as members. Suggestion of a project /plan was
formulated and will be finalized next meeting.

Conclusions:
The meeting went well and all points and concerns raised was resolve, all agenda meeting
was attained.

Executive Summary Anchored on the premise that Basic literacy skills of returning learners
after the pandemic will be assess, intervened and monitored the
Capudlosan National High School formulated an intervention program that
compasses the basic literacy of learners which include reading, writing,
numeracy, and simple comprehension.

PROJECT HUNAT- Project Honing and harnessing learners Untapped


Numeracy and literacy Aptitude Through English macro skill and numeracy : An
intervention is a 4-week program. This was conducted every Thursdays prior the
full in-person classes with consent from the parents and guardians. The program
targets to trim the learning gap, draw out issues and concerns and identify
learners that needs continuous intervention. Before implementation, teachers
convenes and deliberates on the competencies the project aims to achieve as well
as the appropriate approaches, strategies and techniques in the delivery of the
lesson. It also considered the quality and source of materials to be used. Hence, a
quality assurance ad hoc team was formed. The project was compartmentalized
into phases: Pre-implementation, Implementation, Post Implementation and
Continuous implementation. The program was managed by the following: Mr.
Harvey M. Serena, Overall Chairman, Mr. Celmar Kuizon, Project proponent chair
Mr. Gerzon Raza (Numeracy) and Ms. Meralyn Banez (Literacy);

Further the team leader for each skill : Reading – Mr. Andrew Corpuz, Writing –
Mr. Celmar Kuizon, Listening – Mrs. Shiela Vertudazo, Speaking – Ms. Meralyn

Students were first assessed at the beginning of the program with the pre-test
administered by the teachers and the post test at the later part. Further, the
program culminates with learners that struggles in the specific skills undergoes the
continuous program on voluntary basis. Results were gathered and
interventions were applied. Additionally, learners that needs intervention
were listed in a weekly intervention program. 9 learners identified in
reading,8 in listening, 5 in writing, 6 in speaking, 15 numeracy across all
grade level.

The intervention program ended successfully with the full cooperation from
teachers and learners.

a. Trim to 25 % of students that are below satisfactory in numeracy and


literacy

b. Draw out issues and concerns from the learners.
c. Identify learners that needs further intervention
Learners’ views, feelings, and opinion were recorded.

Key Results Learners achieve satisfactory level in basic literacy skills

Struggling learners are identified and intervention program continued
