For this lesson, use crayons and follow the instruction for coloring each shape.

Exercise:

Color each shape. Your teacher will show you every color to use. Use crayons or markers.

A blue rectangle. A purple trapezoid.

A light green oval. A white circle. (do not color it)

A dark green triangle. A burgundy cylinder.

A black square. A red heart.

A gray cube. A yellow star.

A pink pentagon. A violet arrow.

A light blue hexagon.

A brown cross.

An orange rhombus.

Color and practice the patterns. Learn the new vocabulary words.

1. What color is your shirt? My shirt is light blue.

2. What color is your blouse? My blouse is pink.

3. What color are the sweaters? They’re brown.

4. What color is the dress? It’s a yellow dress.

5. What color is the skirt? The skirt is purple.

6. What color are the jeans? They’re blue jeans.

Grammar:

ADJECTIVES always go before the word they modify.

These are green apples and those are red apples.

These are rubber, black boots.

This is a sweet, juicy, and red watermelon.

Remember: Colors are adjectives.

I like the yellow sun in the mornings. The grass is green. I

IMPORTANT:

When we use accessories like jewelry, scarves, hats, or


caps, we use the preposition with.

The boy with the white hat. The girl with sunglasses.

When we use some other kind of clothing, we use the


preposition in.
