Hi, FF editors,
After reading issue #38, | felt compelled to
write in. I’ve enjoyed reading Dan Slott’s run
so far, but this was the weakest issue by far.
Although the premise of Wizard trying to get
ADDOE:
custody was interesting, it’s the way the FF
were written that was questionable. From
Reed confirming the Wizard’s claims about
x) his clones (he really scanned the Wizard
each time they’ve fought and never thought
to mention it before?) to Susan easily being
duped by Wizard’s questions, the FF seemed
like amateurs. Just as bad was She-Hulk’s
weak cross-examination. All she had to do

was question the Wizard on how he can be
trusted with Bentley when he has let his
other clones run rampant for years. Jennifer
is a much better lawyer than was presented
EG in this issue. Definitely not the best writing.

Just wanted to say that Reed and Sue, Val
and Franklin and Bentley and Dragon Man
all sitting on the sofa in the Baxter Building
1) playing video games at the start of #38 was
like my family on a Saturday night, except
we would probably be watching college

football. But what a warm, loving group of
characters. Loved it. The Wizard is a brilliant
villain as well. And bringing in Jen Walters
to represent the family in court--just loved
it. |have a law degree, and this issue really
hit close to home. “But we’re super heroes,
and we can look after Bentley--who would
question that?” asks Sue, and who would
disagree? The law doesn’t always work that
way though. What's right and what’s wrong
in the minds of the majority doesn’t always
mean much for the law. Such a brilliant and
thought-provoking issue. Well done, y’all.

Hello, Team FF!
I'm a lifelong reader, and the Fantastic Four
is my favorite team of all time! | own every
issue ever from #90 to present with a bunch
of key issues going back to #43!
The reason | mention this is because | truly
love the FF and wanted to let you how
happy | am with the current run. For some
reason | don’t understand, Dan Slott can be
a polarizing writer (people seriously thought
Peter Parker was gone forever?). He’s NOT
afraid to make serious changes to our
favorite heroes and villains, but at the same
time, he is moving their stories forward. He
embraces their pasts, and that is comforting!
I just reread issues #1-38 in a marathon
session, and this is clearly a love letter from
Dan. It also helps he has been blessed to
have a murderers’ row of interior and cover
artists. James Robinson was close, but the
FF just hasn’t felt like the FF since Carlos
Pacheco’s sadly short stint as writer/artist.
Not to say other creative efforts were not
good or even stellar...they just haven’t felt
like the team | revere so much!
Now onto the cast! Reed and Sue are
Marvel’s premier couple. Recent writers
have tried to make Reed slightly colder,
but Dan is doing a good job getting Reed to
realize he needs to balance his curiosity of
the fantastic and family time. As a father, |
adore Reed’s interactions with both of his

kids. Also, recent writers tend to make Sue
perfect. Dan is not afraid to show that she
makes mistakes. Ben is my least favorite of
the team, yet | still love the galoot. I’m happy

they get that second honeymoon in the next
year (Marvel time), Alicia will be with child
or children as a lot of future stories seem
to give the Grimms twins! Brainstorm is a
great addition to the team and | cannot wait

Franklin finally got older! | thought he’d be
eternally 6 years old forever. | know there
is more to his mutant status than Prof X is
letting on. Maybe he and Reed came up with

Follow up on it! In the meantime, Franklin Psoo

Lastly, my favorite Marvel hero...Jonathan
Spencer Storm, the Human Torch! Man, his
current situation sucks. But | know when he
eventually comes out of this (and he will),
he will be a better man for it. And while
Sky grew on me, we need Lyja back! She is
overwhelmingly a fan-favorite. Other writers

tease her but always ship her back to limbo.
I don’t think Dan did that through Alicia
and her new radioactive clay, but Johnny Ne)
and Lyja should ultimately end up together. NO
