Reflection paper

Today, December 4, 2022 at Dimaporo Gymnasium, a dance competition is being held.

As I arrive at the entrance, the long – waiting line of dance enthusiasts, families, friends and supporters
of each dance group who want to witness this exciting competition amazed me.

As I enter and find my way to the bleachers, I see everyone settled in their seats as their
eyes were glued to the stage awaiting the beginning of this spectacular event entitled ABCD or
AnyBodyCanDance. Since I’ve been to a lot of dance competition before and witness many amazing
performances, my expectations are quite high.

As the emcee introduce all three judges , I know immediately that this is a serious
competition, since the judges are all well know dancers and performers with a lot of accomplishments in
their carrier.

The competition begin and each dance group showcase their performance. Each group
uses different choreography and music piece. I was amazed at how good their dance routines were and
the gimmicks they use to liven up the crowds. They were all very unique. And every dance group
performed really well, I can tell from the cheering and the screaming after every performance.

I was enjoying every performance and before I knew it, the awards ceremony was up. The audience
were silenced as the drum- rolls begin, and as it stops, the group ‘’ Elements Jr.’’ was announced as the
AnyBodyCanDance 2022 Champions.

Among many competitors, their dancing skills were on a different level. You can see their hard work and
the time they spend on practice in their performance. As they walk up front to receive the trophy I can
see their priceless smiles knowing their sacrifices paid –off.

As Colin Powell said, ‘’A dream doesn’t become a reality through magic; it takes sweat
determination and hard work.
