A Day At The Saratoga Spa

State Park
Overview:
The Saratoga Spa State Park is the best way for someone who loves the outdoors to spend

a day in Saratoga. There are so many great options of activities to do in all seasons of the year.

The park is a very popular destination for its wide variety of things to do making it a place to

visit for almost everyone. The land was designated to a state park in 1962 and is home to what

Saratoga is most famously known for, water.

The Good:

With so much to do at the Saratoga Spa State Park, you must plan out how you want to

spend your day there. There are activities all the way from sports to leisure to make for a great

day at the SPA park. If sports are something you’re interested, there’s a wide variety that you can

choose from. At the park there is tennis, two golf courses, disc golf, bike trails, ice-skating,

cross-country skiing, and

a swimming pool. If

sports aren’t your thing

but you are still an active

person, there’s still a

couple of things to do.

There are some great

sights to see along the

trails where you can walk, hike, or run. You can see things such as the creek, geysers, and ponds.

It’s a great spot to take a stroll, run, or hike through and see all the cool things the park has to

offer. A couple of leisure activities you can partake in while at the park are fishing, grilling,

walking, and just hanging out with friends or family. There are pavilions and grills for use at

different spots in the

park which make it a

spot where you can

spend a while and have

get togethers. Another

great unexpected

feature of the park is

The Hall of Springs

an open field and take

in the great whether. Also with the great architecture, it is a great take to place photos. Most

students at Saratoga High School take their prom photos at the Hall of Springs beforehand. There

are also different faucets with fresh spring water that many people fill up with jugs to have at

their home. With so much to do it at the Saratoga Spa State Park, it makes for a must visit if

you’re ever in town.

The Bad:
There really is not much bad at all to say about the park. You are required pay $10 per car

to enter but that allows you free parking as well. Although you can setup at the picnic table at the
grills for free, there is a fee that ranges from about $150-$300 to rent out a pavilion to have all to

yourself. Other than that, there isn’t much negative to say about the park, everything is great and

easy!

For Kids:

The park I a great spot to bring kids. There are so many great options of things for them

to do that will make sure they have a great day. One of those options is the peerless pool with has

a large pool, kid pool, and multiple water slides. There is also the Victoria Pool next to the golf

course which is a pool with chairs and tables around as well as a restaurant to grab food next to

it. Other great options include the playground, catching crawfish in the creek (my personal

favorite), and fishing. All of these are great options for kids to do at the park.

Personal Rank: 4

This may seem like it isn’t anything special, but with so much to do it always makes for a

great time. I always find myself there occasionally, whether it’s to get water, stroll through the

park, or more frequently to golf. I would highly recommend stopping at the Saratoga Spa Park if

you are in Saratoga!
