About NASC

The NASC was established in 1982 under the Nepal Administrative Staff
College Act 1982 with the objectives to provide necessary training for the
employees of the Government of Nepal and public enterprises; identify

measures for enhancing the capability of administration of the Government
of Nepal and management of public enterprises to contribute towards

development programs of the country; and undertake problem oriented
research, consulting and information service programs for preparing training Staff
materials and making trainings more useful. Its mission is to create better
opportunities for improvements in management capabilities at both College
individual and organizational levels through improved training, education,
consulting, research and information services.
NASC has three functional Departments concerned with management
services, general training and consulting services and two Learning Groups
and over a dozen of semi-autonomous centers to undertake training, research
and consulting services in specialized fields such as governance,
development policy and planning, human resource management,

GDMLG is semi-autonomous learning group (department) responsible for
designing and executing training, research and consulting related

five specialized centers, namely; Centre for Governance and State

About CDRC

The Capacity Development Resource Center (CDRC) was established at (17 - 19 Shrawan 2079)
NASC in November 2015, with support from ADB, to enhance the capacity
of government officials working in ADB-assisted projects in selected
subjects so as to improve project implementation and evaluation. Following
the successful completion by NASC of the first phase of this collaborative
effort, CDRC is engaged to implement the capacity building program for
1,500 staff of the executing and implementing agencies to improve portfolio
performance.
