Graph summary structure

Graph summary is the first task in the IELTS writing test (the second one is writing an essay). You should
spend about 20 minutes on this task and write min. 125 words.

Here is the basic structure of a graph summary:

Paragraph 1: Introduction and overview

-introduce what the graph is about (write the title in different words)

-summarize the most important information about the graph

Paragraphs 2 and 3: Details

-write about the details of the graph

DON’T write conclusions for graph summaries
