Complete Metamorphosis or Complete Stages of growth and development and has


four stages in life:

1. Egg
2. Larva
3. Pupa
4. Adult Stage
Incomplete Metamorphosis of growth and development has only three stages in life :
1. Egg
2. Nymph
3. Adult
D. Unlocking Of Difficulties
Caterpillar-the elongated wormlike larva of a butterfly 
Pupa - an insect in a middle stage of its development, after it is larva.
Chrysalis -butterfly pupa that is enclosed in a hardened protective case.

1. Motivation

Have you been gone to a place that have many flowers and butterflies around it?

Can you tell us something about your experience?

What do you think the importance of butterfly in the environment.

2. Presentation

The teacher will show a video presentation about the life cycle of a butterfly.

3. Discussion

The teacher will discuss and show some images about the life cycle of a butterfly and
let the students to arrange accordingly the images.

Yellow Team

Direction: Arrange the following images appropriately.

Red Team

Direction: Write the four stages of the butterfly’s life cycle inside the picture and color
the images below.

Direction: Make a composition about the butterfly.

V. Evaluation

Direction: Modified TRUE or FALSE. Write TRUE if the statement is correct and FALSE
if the statement is wrong.

1. Caterpillar is the first stage of the life cycle of a butterfly.

2. An adult butterfly is the fourth stage in the butterfly's life cycle.

3. The egg is the second stage of the life cycle of the butterfly.
4. The larva becomes a pupa when it makes a hard covering for itself.
