Canon Pixma MX328 Printer Error 5200

Canon Pixma MX328

What is Error 5200 in Canon Pixma MX328?

Canon has not mention error 5200 on most canon manual. What is this error stands for? For
Canon Pixma MX328 model the error code 5200 means that the  printer detected that the ink
cartridges (both black and color) inside the printer was already run out of ink. The printer has
its ink counter for measuring the remaining ink inside the cartridges. The printer does it by
counting  the number of printed pages that it can produce.

When is this error most likely to occur?

If you use a manufactured ink to refill the out-of-ink cartridge, and then,  the printer detected
that it reached the maximum allowed pages for printing using this ink, this error will occur.

How to Fix Error 5200 in Canon MX328?

Canon does not allowed to use manufactured ink on their printer. That is the reason  why they
do not  mention 5200 on their manual. For them, they advise consumers to use OEM ink for
their printer. For which I also agree. Because the best solution to fix the problem is to use a
genuine ink cartridges from Canon.

However, for those canon users who wanted to save some money by using a refilled cartridge the
best solution for them to clear this error 5200 is to reset the ink counter of Canon MX328.
