Last November 6 Jakka Beach resort called out two vloggers for seemingly leaving their booked rooms that they stayed in in “chaos”. The post soon earned some buzz reactions on the social media. In the post, the resort management said that “K’nayn Motovlog” and “Pobreng Laagan” stayed at the resort’s Family Villa.While some Filipinos agree with Jakka Beach resort sentiments about respecting the establishment’s policy on cleanliness. Others, meanwhile,slammed the resort for alleged violations of the guest’s privacy.Pobreng Laagan was the one who issued their response to Jakka on november 6,Laagan likewise slammed the management for disclosing their personal information to the public. Though those vloggers who are called out committed some violations against the Jakka Beach Resort management regarding maintaining the establishment’s policy on cleanliness. It is not a valid reason to post their guest’s problem issues or concerns, since they are violating the PRIVACY POLICY of their guests. And they should not divulge their guests' information without their consent. Unauthorized disclosure of a data subject’s personal information is one of the prohibited acts under the Data Privacy Act of 2012. However, both of them committed mistake since they both committed violations of privacy and establishment’s policy.If possible this issue should be an awareness to everyone to think before they click and clean the place you visited as you go to avoid possible conflict.
