CHILI GARLIC OIL RECIPE

(A perfect pair for all dishes)

Garlic Chili Oil is a condiment that can add a bit of heat and flavor to dishes. Is a great for drizzling

over foods for extra spice and flavor.

INGREDIENTS:

 250 grams Chili  1 tablespoon of salt

 150 grams garlic  2 tablespoons of vinegar

 3 cups cooking oil  1 teaspoon ground black pepper

 2 tablespoons of sugar  1 tablespoon of oyster


sauce(optional)

PROCEDURES:

 Harvest and prepare the red chilies. Wash them and remove the stalk.

 Mince the chili and garlic. Note: you can do it manually or use a food processor. It
is also possible to use a blender. In case you decide to use blender, you must add 3 cups of
oil to make the garlic and chili smooth throughout the blending until it becomes tiny bits. Do
not over-blend.

 Put the chili and minced garlic in a pan. Afterward, adjust the heat to the lowest
setting. Cook in a low medium heat while stirring continuously. Cook for around 20 to 25
minutes until the chili changes color.

 Then, add the other ingredients. Add the sugar, salt, black pepper, and oyster
sauce. Stir until well blended. Then, add vinegar. After adding vinegar, do not stir for 3
minutes. Just let it boil to avoid “raw taste” of the vinegar.

 After 3 minutes, stir and cook for another 20 minutes.

 Turn the heat off and let them cool first before adding them into jars.
 Enjoy the chili garlic oil as a dip, or use it as a base oil for your savory dishes.
