Vegetable pakora recipe with

yoghurt and mint dip

Pakora Ingredients
200g gram flour/ chickpea flour
Small bunch of chopped, fresh coriander
1 large onion sliced
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon red chili powder
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin seeds (zeera)
1 medium potato grated
1 cup of water
Oil for frying
Method
1.  Place all the ingredients in a bowl and add half the
water, mix thoroughly.
2.  You want to have a batter that is not too runny and
slowly drops off the spoon.
3. If you need to add more water then do so slowly.
4. Heat the oil in a deep-frying pan. To check the heat,
place a small spoonful of mixture into the pan, if the
temperature is correct the mixture should slowly fry
and not burn.
5. Once one side is golden brown carefully flip it over,
once the other side is brown take out the pakora
and place it on a kitchen towel to drain.
6.Taste the pakora, if you feel it needs more spice
then add more to the batter.
7. Now you can fry your pakoras in batches placing a
large spoonful of the mixture into the oil carefully.
8. To make the dip just combine the yoghurt, mint
sauce, salt and pepper in a bowl.
Enjoy your pakoras with yoghurt and mint dip!
