Charity
people, charity
First of all, the Oxford Dictionary defines "charity" as kind and understanding behavior towards
other people.
Other authors such as the philosopher kant define charity as the moral obligation to help
others, the end of which is to restore the past injustices of the poor.
Finally, there are some who believe that "giving tends to create a habit" and therefore does
not solve anything, arguing that social pressure seeks to save face.
In any case, it is a fact that charity is born of good will, awakens our interest in others and
drives us to help.
It is also really inspiring to know that there are charities that provide food and clothing and
even educational support for people in need.
Personally, I believe that not all of us are born with the same privileges, and that although
small, each selfless act of charity fills the person who practices it with humanity and the person
who receives it with hope.
