students and the pedagogue. In a study of the effects of the pandemic on educational
systems and institutions, children from 4-10 encountered the most difficulty in learning
in online classes.

Now that the world is slowly and steadily coming back to normal with most classes
already being conducted in person, the educators main objective is to revive the

3. Please answer the following item: (Reflective Practitioner Proficiency)

a. Drawing upon educational theory, research and pedagogy, describe how you
make informed decisions for creating best practices in your educational setting.
Integrative and Collaborative approach on teaching must work as part of each other to
ensure an effective education within and or beyond the campus. By which a teacher
should think or collaborate with his/her student among recent or particular issues. By
such, both the learner and the teacher could collaborate on the same goal about the
issues being assessed.
It can be achieve with less teaching materials while improving student’s critical thinking
and cognitive integration of ideas within or beyond the campus. While the teacher could
also assess possible consequences of those particular issues, thus could make a
better decision and implementation on regard issues. Which basically a vice versa like
approach.
b. How has your professional practice changed as a result of the theoretical basis
you have received in this MAEM program?
Improved micro-teaching skills and worth ethics which basically helps students to have
an interactive approaches inside and or beyond campus. Whilst Covid-19 strikes hard
on the campus, MAEM programs deliberately changes teacher’s approach which
somehow focuses the teaching styles into more proactive ways. Which deliberately
improve micro-teaching skills whilst it’s still a limited contact education at the moment.
c. How might this shift or change over time?
Deliberate improve on micro -teaching skills whilst Covid-19 exist allows teachers to
improved teaching which helps us teachers to eliminate possible errors and allow us to
asses and think of alternative skills or teaching approach that would be more effective
even if in times like Covid-19.
Which likely for us to sharpens existing skills while preparing for thorough and finalized
re-opening of classes where there’s not much limited physical contacts to students.
d. Answer the following items: (Research and Theory Proficiency) A. How will you
use research to inform your own practice?
As far as beneficial as research is, developing ideas and exploring new teaching
methods helps student to a deep learning. In which, a teacher could lead and reflect on
it’s own practice which eventually leads to devising and improved and concise action
based on reflected practice. By such, research findings able to help a teacher’s
contextualization of addressed issue or topic.
With these civic engagement, a multitude of deliberate and proper orientation of
teacher’s practice could be achieve by means of exploring new ideas or so
researching.

e. Describe one study you might conduct for your own professional development,
including details on methodology as well as an explanation of how you will use the
results. Include a description of what research base or theoretical framework informs
your study.
Social Studies as a main concern, it’s quite good to perform or conduct a study
regarding a how a Teachers Expectation Affects a Student’s Performance on Araling
Panlipunan. It can be done with arranging students tables based on teachers perception
on a student. A group of students in a classroom will be divided randomly on 3 groups
where first group shall sit nearest to the teacher which then be labeled or perceived by
the teacher as better. The 2 nd and 3rd shall sit accordingly next to each other and will
then be labeled as average and improving respectively.
Initially, these groups shall be tested for either IQ test of simply a pretest type test. After
few periods, these students shall be tested again. By such, Teacher’s Perception on a
Student can be subjected if there’s a significant difference between a teacher’s
perception on students performance on Araling Panlipunan.
This research holds basis in accordance to Symbolic-Interactionist Theory by Robert
Rosenthal. Significant results will be subjected to practice evaluation of teacher. Which
then be a ground basis for improve and concise action or teaching method if so.
f. You may have heard the phrase, “teaching as a researching profession.”
Describe the importance of research within the educational profession.
Research hones one’s skills and improved teaching methods. Which basically needed
in teaching profession to adapt and being proactive in teaching rather than limited by
teaching materials. By constant evaluation and assessment of teaching method
through research, effective and conducive education can be achieve.
Education change overtime, which indeed made the research as a way to assess the
system if sudden change has significant changes in students learning and
performance. By means of conducting research for a particular changes, alternative
and concise decision can be made and favorably benefits both the learner and the
teacher.
g. What knowledge base about research will impact your professional practice?
Social Studies particularly Araling Panlipunan as a subject itself provides a great factor
for an informed student within and beyond campus. Research on performance
evaluation of students with respect to teacher’s expectation or perception helps
improve both the learner and the teacher. Mainly, teacher’s professional practice is
directly correlated to student’s performance.
While Araling Panlipunan as an overall context, a student’s integration of social issues
within outside world would greatly affected by how he/she learned it inside the
campus. Which is basically correlated to the professional practice of the teacher and
it’s own perception towards his/her students(Symbolic-Interactionist Theory).
h. What effect does research (both action research and the study of research) have
upon current and future issues within the field of education?
Research seeks to provide data or information of an address issue, hence in the field of
education it provides data of how a student learn in best way or how an educator
should perform in order to provide a conducive and efficient practice for the learners.
By means, research conducted on current issues helps in integrating a well develop
method or practice for future set of learners. Which basically means that any current
issues being addressed is a stepping stone for a well planned, well assessed, well
develop alternatives needed for a good quality education.

i. How do you define the multiple aspects of diversity as it relates to the

educational setting?
Intercultural sensitive should always be a top priority when it comes to diversity in a
classroom. Assessing a diverse culture in a classroom helps to acquire the skills
needed for tolerance and sense of security of a student and educator. How an educator
assessed a diverse culture in a classroom also reflects how a student view different
culture or when they are subjected to foreign or even just a different culture itself. It
may seem easy, but understanding cultural differences takes time and a well practice
for respecting each other differences or diverse culture. Which can be viewed for an
instance that here in locality, indigenous cultures are being discriminated before for
lacking an education. By which now, they had provided opportunities that encourage
them to have an education which leads educators in developing practice for
understanding them. Which likely diminish discrimination of lumads or indigenous
people.
j. What do educational professionals today need to know about diversity issues?
Why is diversity awareness so critical?
Cultural criticism knows no age, as early as young age cultural criticism starts. Does,
understanding a cultural differences should always starts at home. Families should not
only to look up to teachers but rather aides educators on helping learners to
understand and respect diverse culture. Diversity awareness on local culture provides a
stepping stone for understanding the multitude of cultures of the country. Does, an
improve and well develop management particularly on social studies(Araling
Panlipunan) is a critical aspect that a learner will develop a skills needed for respecting
cultural diversity within or outside the campus.
k. What are best practices for encouraging an inclusive classroom?
Establishing bond within the learner is a must and first thing to be done for an inclusive
classroom. A educator’s perception on each learner greatly affects how they performed
in classes. That’s correlated to the study conducted by Robert Rosenthal(Theorist).
Creating a well develop bond where a learner can freely shares his/her ideas helps an
educator to construct an efficient practice prior for every learner to gain knowledge that
suits well for them.
l. What limitations currently exist to creating such a setting--how might you improve
upon this within your own practice? Cite theory and research to support your answer.
Base on Robert Rosenthal study, an educator’s perception greatly affects a students
performance. The study stated that whenever an educator shows a more positive
perception to a certain learner, the learner tend to perform better which are correlated
to the IQ test subjected during this certain study by Robert Rosenthal.
Making diversity as a concern to these limitations; establishing a student-teacher bond
surely helps an educator to achieve a conducive and inclusive classroom. By such, the
limiting factor or the diversity on these case will be addressed by simply helping
learners to freely show their perception or how they act.
m. Explain your personal philosophy about the importance of educational technology
for teaching and learning. Include in your discussion the references.

Technology changes the way teachers teach, offering educators to reach those
students for a conducive learning by multiple means. In instance like Social Studies
(Araling Panlipunan), simply searching for a hot issue regarding with the subject helps
student to be more interactive to the society. Which basically develops skills needed for
an informed learner by means of new technology. These helps students to collaborate
and integrate ideas needed for the world today (Sarah J, 06/2013).
Being a forward thinker educator, it promotes student’s teamwork and collaborative
ideas linking them globally and locally.
By simply standing in front of students, it’s unlikely to achieve a collaborative skills or
teamwork nowadays which most students find it good with the introduction or help of
technology. However according to Alan November; an educator should not totally
replace the old method or paradigm. Instead, making used of technology should just
change the mindset of the student rather than providing gadgets.
The theory behind the move to use technology to expand collaboration of ideas lies on
cognitive development and social interaction of a learner. For an instance, an old
paradigm where a teacher sits forefront seems to be platonic in manner. Instead of
simply reading a certain topic, making videos or instructional methods by means of
technology makes student to perceive an interaction between their fellow learners.
