Prior to repairing drive, please turn off email on the System Manager
Application
In addition, execute these telnet commands, copy and paste the output into a
text file and send that text file to Omneon Technical Support:
telnet <IP address of host>

fs l d defects (make sure that there is no other drives with bad blocks)

NOTE: The drive size (in GB) and form factor must match
the other drives in the enclosure. Keep in mind that
replacement drives should have the same or greater drive
capacity as those they are replacing.

Unlatch drive from the cage, remove the drive by about 10 cm from the
latched position. Wait for 30 second for the drive to spin down before
removing it.

Within two minutes, the new drive should appear on the Disk
Utilities screen on the MANAGER application. Verify that the drive
is reported as Alive by all MEDIADIRECTORS.
NOTE: If you replaced a failed drive with a new drive from Omneon, use
the packaging materials (carton, cushion, and electrostatic sensitive bag)
from the replacement disk drive to repackage the failed drive and return it
to Omneon Video Networks. Contact Omneon Technical Support for
information on obtaining a Return Material Authorization
