Analyze regulatory functions of Communication Authority of Kenya as provided for in the Kenya
Communication act 1998.

1.License and regulate telecommunications, radio- communication and postal services in accordance
with provisions of this act.

2.The commission shall have all powers necessary for the performance of its functions under this act.

3.The commission may enter into association with such other bodies or organisations within or outside
Kenya as in furtherance of the purpose for which the commission is established.

4.No person shall operate a telecommunication system or provide any telecommunication services
except in accordance with a valid license granted under this act.

5.Managing the country's frequency spectrum and numbering resources.

6.Facilitating the development and management of a national cyber security framework.

7.Managing the universal access fund to facilitate access to communication s services by all in Kenya.

8.Managing competition within the sector to ensure a level playing ground for all players.

9.Type approving and accepting communications equipment meant for use in the country.
