Semi – Detailed Lesson Plan

LEARNING AREA MAPEH (Music) QUARTER First

GRADE LEVEL 6 DURATION 30-40 minutes

I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to;

a. Identifies the values of the notes/rests used in a particular song


(MU6RH-Ia-1)
b. Explain and discuss the importance of familiarizing the notes
and rest.
c. Demonstrates understanding of the concept of rhythm by
applying notes and rest for appropriate mastery and acquisition
of skills.

IV. PROCEDURES (4 A’s)
A. Priming/Activating Prior Knowledge:
 Preparation:
1. Greetings
2. Prayers
3. Checking of Attendance
4. Guidelines in attending the class using the google classroom
5. Motivation

B. Activity:
 The teacher will flash some musical symbols and students will try
guess what notes are on the slides.

C. Analysis:
 What did you observe on the slide that we presented?
 What do you think to the lesson for today?
 Why do we need to be familiarized with the notes?
 Can you identify the name of each note that are presented?

D. Abstraction:
 The teacher will start the formal discussions
 The teacher discusses the different types of notes and rest in music
 The teacher flashes some notes to the students so the learners will be
familiarizing with it.
 The students will listen to the music and identify what note are used.
 The teacher asked the student if understand the lessons
 The teacher allows students if they have some questions or
clarification.
