At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:


a. understand the Rhythm as an element of music;
b. Identifies the musical symbol and concepts and;
c. identifies visually and aurally the kinds of notes and rests in a song.

B. Activity:
The teacher will show jumbled letters and they have to arrange it correctly
according to the given meaning and definition.

1. (S E R T) It refers to an interval of time that a player is not sounding


a note on their instrument.

instrumental sounds for beauty of form or emotional expression.
3. (S O N E T) A symbol denoting a musical sound.

The teacher will ask a question about the analization of the students on the
finished activity.

The teacher will start the proper discussion.

Individual Activity:
The teacher will give the symbols of music and the students are going to draw
each given name of symbol.

Paper and Pencil (Quiz)
Identification: Identify what is being asked in each question.
1. It’s like a small oval shaped zero or letter O which is a good way to think
of it when you first begin writing music.
2. It’s similar to a semibreve but has a line coming out of the right-hand side
of its note head.
3. It’s like a minim but, it has its note head filled in black.
4. It’s like a crotchet but, it also has a tail coming out of the side of its stem.
5. It’s like a quaver but has two tails coming out of its stem.
