There are gaps in our knowledge of why new moms between the ages of 21 and 30 have

difficulty beginning and sustaining EBF in their babies' lives during the first six weeks after
delivery (Tampah-Naah & Kumi-Kyereme, 2019, p.9). Given the limited success that EBF
practices have had, it is necessary to investigate the many obstacles that stand in the way of EBF,
assess them, and provide potential solutions. In the present studies, researchers are investigating
whether or not these impediments may be overcome by implementing educational programs and
launching intervention efforts on the part of the government to boost EBF and reach the targets
WHO and UNICEF have established. Constant investments and efforts are being made
nationally in the programs and policies created. Nonetheless, despite the efforts of health
authorities in the UK to promote exclusive breastfeeding, the rate of EBF is still below what is
considered ideal (Berg et al., 2019, p.69). As a result, this research aims to investigate the
obstacles that prevent women from engaging in exclusive breastfeeding during the first six
weeks after giving birth, particularly among new moms between the ages of 21 and 30. In
addition, it would determine the obstacles and variables that affect exclusive breastfeeding
among new moms in the UK (Spiro, 2022, p.876). After everything was said and done, the
research findings would assist healthcare practitioners in raising the knowledge held by new
moms about EBF. In addition, the identification of these obstacles will provide light on the
reason why EBF is not yet at its ideal level in the majority of nations.
