Profibus-DP Card
Model: EVS PRBB01
The EV5000 series drive can be connected to the ProfiBus-DP
TA-TB and TA-TC are the failure relay contacts. TH1 and
field bus network through the PROFIBUS card. In the ProfiBus-
TH2 are the temperature relay contacts.
DP field bus network, the drive works as a slave drive.
Functions of braking unit
Functions:
• Braking unit threshold voltage adjustment;
1) sending control command to inverter (e.g., start, stop, jog, etc.)
• Over load brake time protection of braking resistor; 2) sending speed (frequency) reference or torque command to
• Heatsink overheat protection; inverter;

• Alarm indication; 3) reading operating status information and actual value from the
inverter;
• Failure display and failure relay output indication;
4) reset inverter after a trip;
• Braking resistor overheat auto disconnection and relay
alarm output indication.

The wiring between the braking unit and drive, and


between the braking unit and braking resistor shall be
within 5m. If it is longer than 5 m, twisted pair wire shall
be used. The maximum wire length is 10 m.
