Architecting a Magnetic LinkedIn Profile: ​(cheat sheet)

How to craft a magnetic LinkedIn profile that attracts prospective clients in your niche:

When it comes to crafting your LinkedIn profile -- from Head to Toe it must be niche specific &
tailored specifically to the ideal client that you’d like to work with. This is crucial for getting
LinkedIn to work exceptionally well as 70-80% of people will view your profile either before, or
after you connect with them. You want it to spark their curiosity & put them in an agitated
situation seeking you as the expert to solve their pain / problem / desires / aspirations, etc.

Instructions:

1. Add a high quality headshot to add as your profile image.

2. Add a high quality image as a background image. (Ex: this can be of your city, your office,
custom photoshopped image w/ awards, etc.)

3. Add your “ I Help (niche) to (solve problem) X (get result) by (proprietary method) “
statement to the headline section of your LinkedIn profile at the top.

4. In the “Summary Section” add some persuasive copy to explain where your prospect may be
at / currently going through, then start to outline your solution (at high level) of how you can
potentially help them get to their desired situation. Use the example above to model.

5. Add any Links or Media (Videos / Images) you’d want your prospect to go see.You want to
keep it super simple. Just add an image with a Link to your calendar to book a call.

6. Add a few Articles (1-3) to show you’re active & “in their world” (your niche). If you have some
already, great. If you don’t, start to upload a couple (1/week for example).

7. In the “Experience Tab” make a company profile (if you don’t already have one). You can
follow these instructions here​. Then add your title/role & your I Help __ to __ by __ statement.

8. Add some links / media as well to your Company Profile in the “Experience Section”. Add
your link to your calendar, and not right away… but eventually to your “Pre-Selling
Mechanism”
