7K2 – M4 Controller Voltage Adjustment

The controller circuitry on Autocut machines is very sensitive to fluctuations in its 5 V DC supply. Wear on the trim
potentiometer or fluctuations in the supply voltage to the EC can cause this voltage to fluctuate above or below the
acceptable range (4.9 to 5.07 Volts DC).
The 5 Volt DC test points are on the upper-right hand corner of the backplane. Adjustments can be made by the blue
trim potentiometer located below the Motor Alarm LED bank.
1. Remove the cover from the Electronics Cabinet (EC).
2. Power up the system.
3. Attach a voltmeter leads to the 5 V test points as demonstrated in the following photograph.

4. If the voltage level is not exactly 5.00 Volts DC, adjust the voltage using the trim potentiometer
indicated in the following picture. Turn it clockwise to increase the voltage and counterclockwise to decrease
the voltage.

5. Once the voltage is stable at 5.00 V, turn off the machine.

6. Wait 30 seconds, and power up the machine again.
