SUBJECT TOPIC
W riting + Science Sustainability:Endangered Species

OBJECTIVES MATERIALS
Students will develop the skills to iPads for research
enable them to bring about change notebook and pencil to take notes
and work towards achieving a paper and pencil to write a letter
more just and sustainable world.

STRUCTURE
Students will work in small groups to write a letter that theywill send to a
governor urging them to save an endangered species in their state. Students will
be assigned a US region and then theywill select their own state and identifyan
endangered animal in that state. Theywill then research the threats to this
animal's population and generate original solutions to help preserve that species.

ASSESSMENT
I will be assessing students' progress on their slide deck and use the final draft of
their letter as a formal assessment.
